EME completed implementation of EME.WMS in a warehouse of Makfa company in the Moscow region

2019: EME.WMS implementation

On November 18, 2019 EME company reported that it successfully completed implementation of EME.WMS in a warehouse of Makfa company in the Moscow region.

Began cooperation with EME company of "MAKFA" with automation of a finished goods warehouse.

The warehouse of the company of class "A" of 5000 sq.m. is located in of Domodedovo (settlement of Shakhovo) of the Moscow Region. All range of products is stored in a warehouse. Two types of storage for different type of products are organized: floor storage (priority placement for flour) and rack storage (priority for pasta). Separation into zones on goods is implemented, in particular. the zone of bezglyutenovy products is separate. Mixing of goods of different groups in zones is not allowed.

Due to growth of business and expansion of the range the decision on moving of a warehouse on other platform was made. In a warehouse the MAKFA company approached an issue of automation and implementation of WMS with all gravity. In a market analysis result for the tender 3 professional WMS systems were selected. According to the results of functionality assessment, to conditions of implementation and other characteristics of systems, a choice was made for benefit of EME.WMS.

The main objectives which were set by the Customer:

• optimization and substantial increase of efficiency of a warehouse;
• increase in transparency of management processes;
• the control of motor transport is Management of the Yard.

Operational implementation and commissioning of EME.WMS were performed in 3 months. Works were performed in two stages.

The first stage of the project – the automated acceptance, placement, the organization and accounting of intra warehouse movements of products. Feature of the first stage - a possibility of the organization of acceptance at once directly pallets at which when scanning pallet labels there is a complete acceptance.

Within the second stage procedures of shipment and inventory with complete start of work of a warehouse on a system were implemented. Inventory in EME.WMS is implemented in such a way that it is possible to carry out both global inventory of all warehouse, and local on the selected zones, sectors, cells.

Solving of tasks of control of motor transport and process optimizations of shipment / loading in the territory of a warehouse was performed using the module of management of EME.YMS yard.

Now all information on vehicles is brought in a system, there is a distribution and optimization by time slots. For acceleration data also arrive on posts of protection and docks. As a result significantly work of logisticians of "MAKFA" became simpler, idle times of motor transport and queue of machines considerably decreased, the quality of acceptance and shipment due to exact planning increased.

As a result of system implementation of management of the warehouse EME.WMS all warehouse transactions were completely automated. The warehouse of MAKFA company had an opportunity for work at higher level.

Project Results:

• the organization of address storage and optimal placement of products in a warehouse;
• organization of account of lots of goods;
• complete traceability of products from an input before shipment from warehouse;
• remaining balance with a small residual expiration date due to maintaining the principle of FEFO is reduced;
• errors at all stages of work of a warehouse are minimized, influence of a human factor decreased;
• assembling accuracy of orders is increased several times;
• selection of products on expiration dates for network clients is organized, according to conditions of deliveries;
• internal paper document flow is reduced;
• monitoring of the performed tasks by employees of a warehouse and operation of the warehouse equipment online is conducted.

Cooperation between EME companies and JSC MAKFA continues. For November, 2019 works on EME.WMS system implementation in one warehouse of the company are conducted.
