2021: Warehouse Automation

On March 1, 2021, ME announced the completion of the project to automate the warehouse complex of the Rodnik production plant. In an epidemic situation, the project was carried out using remote launch technology.

According to the company, the production and storage complex of the Rodnik PC with an area of 4,500 sq.m. is located in Samara. The complex consists of several logistics sites on which acceptance from production and buffering of finished products are processed, processing of wholesale and retail directions is carried out. The warehouse complex uses floor and rack frontal storage.

According to the development plans of the enterprise, there was a need for a significant increase in production capacity. It was decided to completely change equipment and modernize production lines. It became obvious that without the automation of the warehouse complex and the introduction of a full-fledged WMS, it is impossible to meet the requirements of the market, especially in terms of integration with EGAIS.

When choosing a warehouse management system, the following were important to the customer:

  • system functionality,
  • implementation timelines,
  • experience and competence of the development company in dealing with alcohol products.

EME has proposed the EME.WMS ALCO solution to implement the Customer's objectives.

The integrator had the task of automating three warehouses of the complex:

  • storage warehouse,
  • warehouse of finished products during production,
  • Shipping warehouse to retail outlets.

All warehouses are separate buildings. In this regard, the launch was carried out in two stages.

Implementation Features:

  • During the project, three types of acceptance organization implemented in EME.WMS were used:
    • Trustee acceptance from production (does not require inspection of each box and brand (bottle).
    • Trustworthy acceptance from a number of suppliers (with the possibility of partial verification if necessary).
    • Distrustful by-product acceptance for other suppliers (requires verification of each brand and bottle).

  • Box and ballet movement is organized to replenish the pickup areas.
  • There are two types of goods write-off possible - order write-off from customer ERP (1C) and TSD.
  • To move between warehouses, the function of entering lines is implemented (the need to select an article without a preliminary task). If you want to move an item between warehouses without a job created by the operator, an employee with a certain set of rights can do this on his own with the TSD.
  • Several types of shipment are provided - collar, short-term, side-by-side,
  • For large network customers of the customer, the selection of orders is implemented taking into account additional conditions, such as certain batches of goods, the number of batches in the order, the formation of cargo items (height, weight, layers).
  • To comply with the principles of the correct location of goods and to avoid human errors, visually similar groups of goods are stored in different cells.
  • A full transition to pomp accounting for alcohol products and integration with EGAIS 3.0 has been made.
  • The functionality of aggregating packages is involved - the formation of packages of goods and brands. Group packages were formed - pallets from pallets from boxes and stamps with preservation of data on the blast structure (brand-corob-pallet).
  • A blast inventory has been implemented.
