The codirector of the company Jim Hagemann Snabe during a teleconference success of the company charged to "magic" of four principal components of strategy of SAP which enter software basic for business plus mobility, the advanced means of the analysis and SaaS (the software as service). "Our strategy of innovations wins. We concentrated on them the attention in due time, - Snabe told, hinting, in particular at acquisition of Sybase company last year using which SAP received a set of mobile technologies. - Our clients vote the investments into these spheres".
Nevertheless, recognizes Snab though new initiatives of SAP and attracted the interest of buyers, their significant influence on the profit of the company is not expected.
By words Snab, Business ByDesign (SaaS set for the small companies) has 550 customers now, and the company defined the purpose – by the end of the year to reach 1000. But, according to the head, Business ByDesign will not add anything to profit this year. "It is long-term investments which we make for the purpose of redefinition of requests of the market", - emphasized Snab. He did not sound exact digits of sales of the mobile platform Sybase Unwired or technology of calculations "in memory" HANA (high-performance analytical devices), instead having referred to the mixed "channel" which is estimated more than at €400 million ($580 million).
It agrees Snab, now the company has about 3 thousand potential clients in a sales channel of mobile products. In general, according to the analyst Ray Wang, the CEO of Constellation Research company, results of SAP company reflect the current market trends. "We observe the growing number of the users updating the product ERP 6.0 and upgrading to new versions, - he answered in correspondence by e-mail. - Moreover, the business intelligence (BI) stimulates a set of transactions as the companies pass from data entry to the analysis collected and received". For comparison, vendors of SaaS develop quicker, he added.
Meanwhile, in opinion Snab, the European debt crisis not on slowed down quarter revenues of SAP many. 30% revenue growth from the software in Germany - "remarkable" result, considering that Germany is the most developed market for SAP.
However there is a vague threat of global financial effects which will possibly take place if the USA comes to a default. Snab expressed opinion that the IT industry and, in particular, the sphere of the software, will continue to work whatever it happened. At the same time he hopes that he U.S. authorities is reached a consensus in the nearest future.
