2024: Modular homes robotic factory launches for ₽16 billion

On October 7, 2024, a unique robotic plant for the production of large-sized residential modules began work in Moscow. The project, implemented by the Monarch concern, involves an investment of ₽16 billion and is the largest in the world of its kind.

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited a new enterprise located in Vnukovo between Borovsky Shosse and Privolnaya Street. He noted the importance of increasing labor productivity and reducing the number of unskilled jobs in the construction industry.

General Director of MonArh Sergey Hambartsumyan said that the main work on the creation of the plant has been completed, and the equipment is being installed and tested. The construction of the enterprise began in 2019 on a land plot provided by the Moscow government without a tender within the framework of legislation on the implementation of large-scale investment projects.

The total area of ​ ​ the production complex will be 161 thousand square meters. m, on which about 2.6 thousand workplaces will be created. The first stage of the enterprise, the experimental plant, was put into operation in July and has already produced about 70 thousand square meters. m modules for residential and administrative buildings with decoration, engineering systems and facade.

The plant carries out a full cycle of module production using patented technologies and advanced developments of engineering bureaus from Germany, Italy, China, Malaysia and other countries. The main plant, the construction of which is being completed, will allow the production of 550 thousand square meters. m of modules per year, which is equivalent to 250 ten-story buildings.

The project is of strategic importance for the development of the construction industry in Moscow. Apartments in houses made of large modules can be received by participants in the renovation program. In addition, the technology is already used in the construction of social facilities: a kindergarten in the east of the capital was built from the modules of the plant, which was installed in just 14 days.^[1]
