The Softline company – the certified partner of Microsoft – tested service of practical demonstration of solutions Microsoft and training of IT specialists of Start Service at the Rostov State Economic University.

The service of Start Service allows to estimate advantages of new solutions of Microsoft and also in practice to learn to work with them. Demonstration and training which are carried out by the experienced experts certified by Microsoft corporation take place directly in office of the customer without separation from primary activity using a pilot demostend. Thanks to Start Service the client receives the personalized solution prototype made using advanced technologies and also the plan of further implementation and development of a system.

Within the Start Service project at the Rostov State Economic University pilot product introduction of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 was performed. Within three days in a test environment of the customer with the assistance of specialists of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company in Rostov-on-Don and client representatives the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 server was deployed, situations of management of network infrastructure of university are fulfilled, the architecture and options of application of the software product is considered. Specialists of RGEU (RINH) gained the skills and knowledge necessary for further operation of the solution, and tested them in practice in real computing environment of educational institution. Each employee of the university participating in the Start Service program received the registered memorable certificate.

The software of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 exercises control of difficult IT infrastructure. The extensive functionality of a product allows to unroll and update clients, servers and mobile devices in physical, virtual and mobile mediums. The solution gives the chance to enter into the system of correction and updating according to corporate requirements, integrates means of deployment for clients and servers and provides the high level of safety of all process.

Advantage of this product is that it considerably facilitates management of images thanks to application of the WIM format for Vista and Windows Server 2008 which allows to reduce quantity of the images tied to the specific equipment that, in turn, increases flexibility of IT systems. Means of software distribution in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager simplify implementation of applications and updates on computers, servers, mobile devices in scales of corporate networks.

Within the Start Service project training of IT specialists and demonstration of solutions on the following directions is also available: information management (a business intelligence and portal solutions), creation of IT infrastructure (management of IT infrastructure, creation of workstations based on Windows 7, remote access to desktops, virtualization of applications), information security (security of network, access control and data protection from distribution), the joint communications (mail of a corporate class).
