Content

Innoware helped PJSC Zaporozhtransformator to complete transition to the new version of the ERP system and constructed a customer relationship management system on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 platform.

Task

Earlier special tools for management of all sales phases and service maintenance at the enterprise did not exist therefore the management Zaporozhtransformator made the decision on system implementation of customer relationship management.

In selection process of the tool several options are analyzed: use of the CRM module of ERP systems Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and SAP R/3 and also implementation of separately set CRM systems Terrasoft and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Selection

Preference was given to option of creation of the solution on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 platform. Since 2005 the enterprise used earlier version of this system for management of the main business processes. An opportunity to add necessary functionality and perspective of use of other opportunities of the new version played the main role when choosing the platform. As the project meant difficult transfer of already existing practices on the new version, the trust and long-term experience of cooperation with consulting company Innoware became an important factor at making decision on the project. Knowledge the customer of processes of management of the project, the implementation methodology used by the contractor considerably reduced influence of organizational risks on the project.

Solution

PJSC Zaporozhtransformator together with Innoware company completed the project on transition of the enterprise to the new version of the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and implementation of the module of customer relationship management (CRM).

Implementation of the CRM module which took 6 months was preceded by the transition to the new version which lasted 8 months. During technical transition to the new version the modifications which collected for many years works are postponed. A total quantity of users of Microsoft Dynamics AX, with accounting of the joined sellers, about 1000.

Implementation stages

At the first stage of the project transition to the new version of a system was performed. During this phase the analysis of earlier made modifications for the purpose of an exception of those of them which will not be demanded because of existence of similar functions in the new version was carried out. On the next stage of the project the classical CRM functions were implemented (the centralized database of partners, a sales cycle, a contact history, integration into the mail server and so forth) and also the additional functionality was developed. So, for example, in a system the complex reference book by partners, the reference book of places of service maintenance of transformers was implemented. Besides it was decided to implement the difficult management reporting on sales, service maintenance and other directions affecting CRM.

Results

It was succeeded to consolidate information on contacts, partners and their history of relationship in a project deliverable, it became much easier to obtain Big aggregated data from reports. Also foreign missions of the plant work with functionality of CRM.

Opinion

"This project perfectly illustrates how it is possible to implement effectively a customer relationship management system on the ERP platform. We face that mean by the concept "CRM" of the company often not only classical control functions by contacts and sales. When we deal with what they mean, quite often it turns out that, considering integration of the ERP system, use of its CRM module for implementation of desires of the client has more advantages, than implementation of separately set CRM system", - Vitaly Kurdyumov, the partner and the director of business development of Innoware noted.

The main – to implement the tool for sales management and service maintenance, and auxiliary – to upgrade to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. In the long term we see a number of projects for improvement of controllability of the enterprise using functionality of the new version, for example, we want to implement budgeting and shop management. Also we are going to extend a system to other enterprises of our group of the plants. So, we already began works on replacement of 1C by AX 2009 in the Zaporizhia cable plant".
