The Tyazhmash plant applies virtualization as means of dynamic development of IT structure

The Syzran plant of heavy mechanical engineering (Tyazhmash) implemented the system of server virtualization on the Microsoft platform.

Task

Development of the company and its loudspeaker demanded from IT infrastructure of flexibility, fast scaling. Acceleration of start of new information services and effective use of the existing IT infrastructure of the company needed updating. The decision on implementation of server virtualization was made. As its platform it is selected Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, and for flexible management by virtual resources – products System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3 System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2.

Solution

The project was implemented by Softline company: migration on the virtual platform of information services – a corporate portal, application server 1C, a number of infrastructure services is performed.

Result

Cost reduction at implementation of new applications, increase in availability of IT services, reduction of cost of ownership of IT infrastructure became project deliverables.
