Biography

Was born on July 17, 1967 in Odintsovo of the Moscow region, Russia.

Education

After the tenth class entered Moscow Power Engineering Institute on department of automated control systems for thermal processes of heat power faculty. After the termination of the second year it was called up for military service.

1994 - ended "Practical Course of Banking" business rate at the Moscow international university of business and information technologies.

1996 - graduated from the Lipetsk state technical university majoring in "Industrial and civil engineering".

Career

1994 - acquired the Moscow credit bank.

1995 - the chairman of the supervisory board of the Moscow credit bank.

In the mid-nineties Roman Avdeev acquired a controlling stake of the Lebedyansky sugar plant (Lipetsk region) and bought farmlands around it. To the middle of the 2000th on their base the agro-industrial Black Earth group producing 3% of domestic sugar was created. In 2005-2008 these assets were sold. Means from sale went for capitalization of the Moscow credit bank and also acquisition of other assets.

2005 - the CEO of Rossium concern which is its main investment division.

2008 - began to develop the North wood group (Arkhangelsk) where 18 companies of forestry and wood industry enter.

since 2008 - the member of the supervisory board of the Moscow credit bank^[4](in November, 2008 Avdeev left an executive position of the Moscow credit bank, having delegated powers the chairman of the board of bank Aleksandra Nikolashina, however he remained the member of his supervisory board^[5].

2010 - created large development company of Domus-finance. The main activity of the company is investment into different developer projects, including into construction and implementation of mass housing in Moscow and the next Moscow area, construction and operation of a commercial real estate.

2014: Sale to Americans of drug manufacturer "Veropharm"

In 2014 the American company Abbott received control over Veropharm, having redeemed shares of the enterprise for 16.7 billion rubles from Gardenkhills company of Roman Avdeev. Avdeev on the eve of the transaction brought the share in Veropharm to 98.3%. Apparently, this share block also passed to foreign buyers.

2016: Receiving control in developer OPIN of Mikhail Prokhorov

On December 27, 2016 the group of ONEXIM of Mikhail Prokhorov announced closing of the transaction on sale of 90.99% of stocks of development company of OPIN to the Rossium concern belonging to the main owner of the Moscow credit bank Roman Avdeev. He acquired the rights to land bank of the developer and all developer projects, including the project of reconstruction of Torpedo stadium in Moscow. Transaction amount does not reveal. It is possible that mister Prokhorov gave the most part of assets of OPIN for debts. MKB bank acted as the main creditor of the company. For more details see OPIN.

2020: Purchase of the Austrian Poso Bank

The London broker Sova Capital who is owned by Roman Avdeev, agreed about purchase of the Austrian Poso Bank. Assets of Poso Bank for the end of 2019 were 462 million euros, the bank is included into group of Raiffeisen cooperative banks. According to the reporting of RBI for 2019, the capital of Poso was 77.3 million euros.

Hobbies

Prefers active holiday. Practices yoga, run, rowing, bicycle, skis.

2009 - together with the polar explorer Mikhail Malakhov made ascension on Wilson's peak - the highest point in Antarctica.

Roman Avdeev together with the partner owns 6 hectares of the earth in 1.5 km from MKAD on Minskoye Highway where the construction market of TVC System with 500 outlets is located.

In Moscow area Roman Avdeev is also a co-owner hosiery nosochnoy factories (of Kupavn) in which construction he invested $20 million.

20 children's days of births for memory I do not remember all. In my childhood the birthday celebration was a long-awaited holiday, and at my children the value of this holiday is a little devaluated. But DR we note all only personally.

All our children speak in two languages — Russian and English. They at the same time get acquainted with two cultures. At such education they are not limited to a framework of one language. Besides, free ownership of English has also the utilitarian value for further development of children in the future.

We have a teacher-curator who makes the lesson schedule for children where music, German, swimming, a game enters chess, trips to theaters and the museums. My spouse is engaged in personnel recruitment, the choice of school and circles. Children of school age, now their three, study at one school, at Odintsovo. So it is more convenient for all".
