The Saratov technical school of railway transport implements a corporate portal as an internal information and communication resource

Softline completed the implementing solution DeskWork in the Saratov technical school of railway transport.

The corporate portal helps to solve a problem of creation of an internal information and communication resource of educational institution.

"Unlike the commercial organizations each educational institution at automation of the activity faces not one task which should be solved, and, at least, with two, – Mikhail Hadanovich, the leading programmer of the Saratov technical school of railway transport tells. – If the normal company organizes the information space taking into account requirements only of one user group which is quite homogeneous on the requests to the software product, then we were faced by a task to provide convenience of informing and to create conditions for successful performance for two in principle user groups, different on requirements. On the one hand, it is teachers which main objectives consist in the organization of content and automation of daily workflows. On the other hand are pupils who except training materials and news of technical school should give the maximum opportunity for communication and self-expression, for example, in creation of own website. The DeskWork portal completely answers assigned tasks. It provides such modules as the address directory and modules of automation of workflows for the staff of technical school, blocks of effective communications – the personal websites of users, blogs, chats are closer to students. Information blocks, in turn, are necessary to all users of the portal. The Basic DeskWork 5.1 corporate portal based on Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 was for us just such solution – interesting on functionality and simple in setup".
