DeskWork 2012 Q4

The Softline company announced a release on December 6, 2012 of the new version of the DeskWork 2012 Q4 corporate portal. In the new edition of the solution the interface is improved and numerous additions for comfortable work of the system administrator and users are made.

Basic processing of the interface of the portal, implementation of the ideas aimed, first of all, at convenience of using of the solution became a primary subject of the new version and principal direction of all innovations: level of its clearness during the training, intuitivism and evidence of each following action increased that creates feeling of comfort during the work of users.

In addition to the user and visual improvements in the new version other is applied essentially, than in the previous editions, the information distribution system on several logic functional units, each of which executes a separate business challenge. It is updated as well navigation according to the portal.

Many opportunities and functions were added at requests and proposals of users, such, for example, as distribution of functionality of secretaries and deputies on normal tasks of SharePoint, change of the module "Structure of the Company", adding of the mechanism of diagnostics of the module "System of Informing", change and setup of the messages sent by the modules DeskWork.

In the new edition of the DeskWork 2012 Q4 corporate portal there were changes in subjects – most of them are completely updated for increase in convenience of users, the new subject of a design Clarity is added. The recording system of documents became more flexible – now here it is specified responsible for the magazine and to it the rights to registration are automatically granted, notifications come, it is possible to select the folder where the document will be placed.

There were several new mechanisms, for example, the mechanism of updating of workflows which gives the chance at a release of the new version of DeskWork to carry out updating without stopping of old processes and also the mechanism of confirmation of appointment of secretaries and deputies which allows the user to confirm the appointment previously. Functions of secretaries and deputies purchased additional lines – to them notifications on new and overdue tasks of their principals go.

Special attention of activities of the system administrator for implementation and setup of the portal was paid. For it a number of the modules and functions allowing to begin quicker and more conveniently work with the portal or to carry out updates is added – it concerns delegation of user rights, a possibility of automatic import from AD, XML profiles to the portal on the configured schedule, carrying out import of data to the address directory and structure of the company. Own data provider for control "The choice of the user" is developed that simplifies work with the portal if the Active Directory is not set, the new template of standard filling of a product and the system of navigation on the basis of functionally separated nodes at the new DeskWork installation is added.

The module of Video conference is expanded new opportunities for users – both speakers, and listeners – now they in the free mode can exchange roles: any of listeners receives a word on demand, the control of the microphone and the rights of participants comes from the speaker directly from the room of a conference, the generation engine of unique one-time links for an input in a conference without authorization is implemented (as the leader, the speaker or the listener).

The module "Graphic Composer of Business Processes" underwent several significant changes and additions – different mechanisms for check of workflows are added and also communications of any fields, for example, can be made now that the task was appointed to the user specified on the previous step. There was a new variable type File set which allows to add any investments and in the subsequent to display them in other tasks, numerous improvements in appearance and convenience of "The graphic composer" are entered.

Some changes concerning overdue tasks and the mechanism of operation of the module here are added now to the Center of Tasks add-on module all tasks of Express document flow, Requests and "The graphic composer" of DeskWork are displayed.

DeskWork 2012 Q3

The Softline company announced in July, 2012 the beginning of sales of the new version of DeskWork-2012Q3 corporate portal. In this edition of the software solution the system of licensing is simplified, there were new modules which can be bought in addition to major version of a product – the Center of Tasks and Graphic Composer of Business Processes applications, already existing functionality of the portal is considerably improved and finished.

The new version of DeskWork is a major step in the field of development of a product, result of laborious joint work of the DeskWork command and users of the solution, consolidation of constructive information from clients and own development plan for development team, a result of the analysis of trends of the market of corporate portals in general.

In the new edition of the DeskWork portal the system of licensing within which 2 options of purchase of a product depending on the number of expected users are possible now is simplified: the license "on 250 users" and also "for an unlimited number of users". Also there were new systems which can be bought in addition to the main functionality of a product – the Center of Tasks and Graphic Composer of Business Processes systems.

The center of tasks aggregates data on tasks from all portal (including from all enclosed nodes), including tasks of the modules Document flow and Request, displays them in a convenient type and provides the interface for their interactive change. A set of the preconfigured representations both the flexible filtering system and sortings in combination with functions of export to Excel and printings allow to create relevant reports on execution of tasks in the organization. To see and try functionality of the Center of Tasks before purchase, the client will be able to use the built-in demonstration version in which there will be no more than 10 tasks of any selection.

The graphic composer of business processes (it will be available in August, 2012) based on HTML5 technology can create any number of workflows (a set of activities and a route of the movement) visually in the form of flowcharts. It can be used for creation of any routes of approval, a statement, mailing of notifications and to that similar business challenges. In the basic version of the portal the built-in demoversion of the Graphic composer in which it is possible to create up to 5 activities for acquaintance with system operation will be available.

The module of carrying out Video conferences based on the DeskWork portal is integrated solution and is a complex for implementation of interactive communication in a video conference format with one or several speakers (up to 16) and a great number of participants (up to 300). A system allows to hold the audio-and video presentations in real time, to plan conferences in the calendar, to use a text chat, functions of vote or broadcast of a desktop; work with the modern h.264 codec is supported. For acquaintance with functionality of Video conferences on the portal the demonstration module for carrying out video conference works for 1 speaker and 4 listeners.

Except a possibility of adding of the new systems in a product the current functionality – according to increasing number of tasks which face this instrument of corporate interaction today was significantly expanded and finished.
