Content

The France Informatique & Technologie (FIT) company completed implementation of the cash systems of self-service (SCO - "self-cheknut") Fujitsu U-Scan Genesis in retail network "Magnoliya".

Goal

Tasks which were set by Magnolia, having selected this technology: capacity growth of the cash register lines, increase in a customer loyalty loving innovations and convenience, lack of dependence on routine of cashiers, reduction of FOT in the conditions of the wages rise of employees.

Solution

The Magnoliya supermarket chain became the first domestic retail operator who implemented at himself the hardware solution of self-service.

The robot does not demand breaks, cannot get sick, he does not need to pay the raised salary at night that important at round-the-clock operation of Magnolia.

The solution represents integration of the front office cash system developed by FIT company and used at all checkout of Magnoliya network into the software of Fujitsu of SCO which includes, in addition to already mentioned graphical interface and a complex of ensuring prevention of thefts, including due to comparison of actual weight of goods to the weight put in the database on these goods, the complex of support providing control and indication of a status moneto-and bill acceptors, diagnostics of a status of operation of the equipment and other service functions allowing to carry out as fast as possible and effectively collection and replenishment of cash fund.

The specifics of food retail with the nuances are considered:

  • Age limits of sale of alcohol and tobacco.
  • Time limit on sale of alcohol.
  • Existence of MRTs (the maximum price of implementation) for cigarettes.
  • Existence of goods without barcode, in particular, weight.
  • The Russian feature — sale of packaging packets.
  • Fiscal requirements.
  • Round-the-clock operation, etc.

Deployment — from inspection of business processes of Magnolia before start of a complex in the first shop, took less than 8 months (November, 2011 - July, 2012).

2013. Project Development

The France Informatique & Technologie (FIT) company continues a self-service equipment implementation project in supermarkets of retail network "Magnoliya". The press service of the company announced installation in supermarket to the address Nakhimovsky Avenue, 9A of two lines two SCO in everyone.

For July 30, 2013 in shops of Magnoliya network 34 points of the automated calculations (SCO) are set.
