Biography

Alexander Chub was born on April 28, 1966 in the city of Zaporozhye.

Education

In 1989 he received a diploma with honors from the Faculty of Micro-Appliances and Technical Cybernetics of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (MIET), and graduated from graduate school here.

In 1991, he graduated from the MGIMO School of International Business.

In 2007 he graduated from the Senior Executive Program of the London School of Business.

In 2019-2020 Alexander completed the Strategy and Innovation program and received a diploma at Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK.

Career

Alexander has been working in the communications and information technology industry since 1989.

Alexander Chub began his career in 1989 as an engineer in the laboratory of computer systems at MIET, then, in 1991-1992. worked as a director of a small enterprise engaged in the development and sale of software. In 1992, he became a commercial representative of Bull S.A. in Russia.

In 1994, Alexander became corporate sales manager at the Russian representative office of Hewlett-Packard Corporation, and in 1995 - already managing director of Hewlett-Packard for the CIS and Mongolia (not including Russia).

In 2001-2002 worked as the general director of the representative office of Bull S.A.

In 2002-2005, Alexander Chub served as Head of Representative Office and General Manager of Dell in Russia. During this time, he launched the company's business in the Russian Federation, built the areas of retail, corporate sales, and distribution, bringing Dell's revenue to $200 million per year.

In 2005, Chub was invited as an anti-crisis manager to 3Com. As a result of his work, the head of the representative office (general manager) carried out a complete reorganization of all components of the company's business in the CIS, profitability came out of negative dynamics and reached 80%. Aleksandr played an active role in creating and adapting the Huawei-3Com joint venture, bringing to the Russian market a line of products with high added value for building converged secure networks - as a result, the company was successfully sold to Hewlett-Packard. After the integration of Hewlett-Packard and 3Com in 2010, he took the position of Director of the Network Solutions Department of NR in Russia.

In the period from September 2012 to 2014. Alexander headed the Navigation and Information Systems OJSC (NIS GLONASS, federal network operator in the field of navigation activities).

In June 2015, he became president of the Russian Towers group of companies, the largest independent infrastructure operator in the Russian Federation. During the work of Chub, a number of different projects were implemented to create a telecommunications infrastructure in Russia, such as the creation of an integrated 5G-ready cellular coverage in the cities of Kronstadt and Nizhny Tagil, the development of a seamless INDOOR coverage of the Congress Center of the Yekaterinburg-EXPO IEC, the launch of 5G test zones in Moscow together with Beeline and Tele2. The company removes a lot of attention to research work: the total number of patents received, as well as those in the process of obtaining patents of the Russian Towers - 28. As of July 2020, the portfolio of the Russian Towers company amounted to more than 5500 objects in 63 regions of Russia.

In January 2017, Alexander Chub was elected co-chairman of the Information Technology Committee of the Association of Managers.

For June 2020, he is a member of the expert council of the international professional association of infrastructure companies TowerXchange.

Since October 10, 2022 - General Director of RIC JSC (Russian Infrastructure Company).

Awards and tributes

In 2017-2019 Alexander Chub is among the 1000 best managers in Russia and among the 250 best senior leaders of the country according to the rating "Top 1000 Russian managers" from the publishing house "Kommersant" and "Association of Managers."

Noted by letters of thanks on behalf of the Mayor of Moscow S.S. Sobyanin, the Governor of the Moscow Region A.Yu. Vorobyov for professionalism, great contribution to the construction of communication facilities in Moscow and the Moscow Region, awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia "Marshal Vasily Chuikov."

Noted by a letter of thanks from the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation "for the development of communications, information technologies and mass communications and many years of fruitful work."
