2018: Sale of data center of EdgeConneX corporation

On November 14, 2018 the Linxdatacenter company, provider of solutions in the field of data storage and cloud services, announced TAdviser sale of the Warsaw data center of the American corporation EdgeConneX. According to Heiko H. Koop, the president of Linxdatacenter group, means from sale will be reinvested in the company for expansion of data center in Moscow and multicloud platforms of the company based on Cisco Hyperflex.

The legislation in data storage areas, implementation of hybrid cloud computing and the need for services determine demand for services of data centers in Poland by the organization of access to the international global IT systems. In such conditions as representatives of Linxdatacenter explained, ownership and management of data center in Warsaw stopped being for the company the competitive advantage necessary for promotion of services and development of hyper convergent cloud resources.

As business market of Poland very quickly began to master cloud solutions, services in placement of the equipment are in the lesser demand. Such legal acts as Regulations of the European Union for personal data protection (GDPR), change approach of the companies to management of IT infrastructure. These factors do less significant ownership of the equipment and data centers. Availability of information, knowledge, competent management and combination of different cloud solutions became the key to success, said in the statement of Linxdatacenter.

The LinxCloud platform which the company provided on the IaaS model based on the Warsaw DPC remains the property of Linxdatacenter as the major resource for multicloud solutions and service in providing private access to global clouds of Direct Cloud Connect. The provider will continue to provide professional solutions on the organization of access and management of global clouds in combination with service "a private cloud of LinxCloud" for processing and storage of confidential information.

Implementation of the Polish data center, as well as sale to telecommunication network in 2017, answers the purposes of our development strategy 2020 according to which all of us are more focused on cloud solutions. 2012: Opening of DPC in Warsaw
