2018: Interline freon Clever Breeze conditioners with a power up to 32.5 kW

On September 27, 2018 the Russian producer of modular DPCs and engineering infrastructure of "Utilex" added the compact solution with power up to 32.5 kW to structure of a line of interline freon Clever Breeze conditioners. This product is addressed to owners small on scale, but infrastructures, dense on IT loading.

The model has dimensions 300*1200*2050mm with a refrigerating capacity up to 32.5 kW. Development of "Utilex" on the power of cooling is comparable with solutions on chill water at significantly lower capital expenditure, claim in the company.

The idea of development of such conditioner appeared when we began to receive a set of requests for small data processing centers with the high-loaded racks. The task was interesting, we created the beautiful compact solution and now are glad to offer it to partners and customers.

The line freon precision conditioners of similar power presented at the market have a number of shortcomings:

  • Considerable dimensions. It increases the area and final cost of DPC (or World Data Centres).
  • Placement of a part of the systems of conditioners in the external condenser block. It limits their application in difficult climatic conditions (or increases risks of operation, despite winter sets).
  • Need to put forward conditioners from a row for carrying out repair work. It increases requirements to a free space.

Thanks to this development of "Utilex", customers have an opportunity to avoid all these risks.

The compact sizes (300*1200*2050mm) at the high power (up to 32.5 kW of refrigerating capacity) interline conditioners developers managed to achieve thanks to placement of the compressor package in separate construct indoors World Data Centres.

Use of the provided Clever Breeze conditioners will be especially effective as a part of modular data processing centers of World Data Centres of NOTA as placement of compressor packages under a raised floor will allow to reduce the area and cost of World Data Centres.

In addition, this solution has all advantages of a line of Clever Breeze:

  • the guaranteed checked working capacity at temperatures from -62 °C to +50 °C;
  • built-in energy efficient ultrasonic adiabatic humidifier;
  • refrigerating capacity control range – 100%.

The management system is constructed using domestic controllers and own algorithms. Management and monitoring is performed under protocols of Modbus SNMP MQTT. It is completed with the basic system SCADA of the last generation with support IoT. Notifications about incidents are performed with the help SMS e-mail messengers.

The solution is in addition completed with the system of cloud telemetry using IoT for proactive control by readiness of all infrastructure of DPC.

The management system for climate in DPC of Clever Breeze is completely Russian patented development. All cycle of production happens on own production sites of "Utilex" in the Campus of Novosibirsk.

2016

Began with "Utilex" production of Clever Breeze chillers

The Russian developer of modular DPCs "Utilex" started production of Clever Breeze chillers at the beginning of 2016. As a part of a line the 150 and 220 kW chillers that allows to solve effectively problems of cooling of small and medium data processing centers, including based on World Data Centres of NOTA. In further plans of the company – an output to the market of solutions of bigger performance.

Main properties of the solution:

  • Clever Breeze chillers have freecooling function, thanks to existence of the glycol-glycol heat exchanger;
  • The compressors which are a part of chillers are capable to function with the broad range of loading (from 4% to 100% of loading);
  • Heat exchangers use glycol, a freon circuit – freon 407C;
  • Rotational speed of fans automatically changes depending on working conditions;
  • The stable value of overheating is supported by electronic broad valves which allow to regulate more precisely fluid supply on the evaporator, increasing its performance;
  • Chillers are equipped with the invertor pumps allowing to regulate a water consumption;
  • Opportunity for work with the broad temperature range of air (from - 55 ° C up to +50 ° C).

Clever Breeze now with the system of automatic input of a reserve

The Utilex company improved a line of Clever Breeze conditioners at the beginning of 2016, having equipped them with automatic inputs of a reserve.

In Clever Breeze conditioners two inputs of power supply for ensuring uninterrupted cooling function: the main and reserve. Both inputs can work both from external network, and from the system of uninterrupted power. In the most widespread case, a power supply of a conditioning system in the normal mode is provided from external network, and at loss of tension there is a switching to uninterruptible power supply units. As soon as operation of the external power supply network is recovered, conditioners automatically switch back.

The applied solution reduces load of the system of uninterrupted power, increasing the term of its service and reducing total cost of ownership. At the same time the AVR system is cheaper than alternative solutions (for example, the systems of smooth start-up). The system of automatic input of a reserve is applied in conditioners and as a part of other developments of "Utilex": modular DPC of NOTA and Micro DPC of DataStone+.

2015

Clever Breeze is the 22.5, 35 and 50 kW fankoyla

On June 29, 2015 the Utilex company provided two models of Clever Breeze conditioners on chill water. The company releases the 22.5, 35 and 50 kW fankoyla.

Conditioners with freon cooling with power from 7 to 60 kW and the intra line conditioner with cooling on the 50 kW chill water were earlier basic element of the Clever Breeze system. As a part of a line the 22.5 kW chill cooling systems dimensions 400mm*1200mm*42 (48)U and 35 kW with dimensions 600mm*1200mm*42 (48)U.

Development is focused on the companies the using chill cooling systems of DPC. Conditioners will provide the necessary power of cooling and are expected use as a part of data processing centers of any power.

Advantage of cooling systems on chill water - cost reduction and time expenditure on implementation of smooth operation: in case of blackout, such system will provide cooling at the expense of stocks of a cold water in tanks accumulators.

Clever Breeze conditioners on chill water are integrated with chillers of any producers (Uniflair, Stulz, HiRef and so forth), are capable to be built in the operating infrastructure and can be adapted for any architectural features of the building and adjacent territory (freon conditioners have restriction longwise of the pipeline and to height difference between internal and outside blocks). The management system for conditioners regulates the rotational speed of fans and an expense of a cold water depending on the actual heat load created by the IT equipment. Unlike the majority of competitive solutions, Clever Breeze conditioners are delivered with the built-in function of humidity monitoring.

"Utilex" expanded Clever Breeze line

On May 12, 2015 it became known of expansion of a line of management systems by Utilex company for climate of DPC of Clever Breeze. The company produced three models of the intra line precision D42(48) conditioner with a C power of 18, 25 and 45 kW.

Clever Breeze conditioners, 2014

Line Clever Breeze conditioners help to support the necessary power of cooling and are expected use as a part of small and medium data processing centers (with power from 30 kW to 1 MW). All models can be produced for racks 42U or 48U high.

Expansion of a line of Clever Breeze conditioners will allow customers not to overpay for excess cooling, and to purchase solutions with those characteristics which are necessary for them".

"Utilex" was developed by the intra line precision Clever Breeze conditioner with a power of 30 kW

The Utilex company announced in March, 2015 release of the 30 kW new intra line precision D42(48)C130 conditioner. Development became a part of a wide line of management systems for climate of DPC of Clever Breeze.

The climatic solution helps to provide the high power of a conditioning system that opens ample opportunities gives the chance for use of the new conditioner as a part of average data processing centers (with power from 100 kW to 1 MW). This model of the line conditioner can be manufactured in two options of dimensions: for racks 42U or 48U high depending on requirements of customer company.

The new model of a management system for climate of DPC of Clever Breeze D42 (48)C130 has all advantages of a line, such as:

  • built-in system of ultrasonic moistening;
  • built-in system of remote monitoring and management;
  • opportunity for work at the lowest temperatures (to - 55 ° C)
  • possibility of isolation of hot and cold corridors
  • lower total cost of ownership cost in comparison with import analogs.

The solution proposed by "Utilex" can be used as a part of modular micro DPC of DataStone+ developed by the company for creation of a data processing center in unprepared premises or as the intra line conditioner for cooling of the equipment placed in racks of other producers (including as a part of modular DPC of NOTA – other development of "Utilex").

Main Characteristics

The main features of the system of management of climate in DPC of Clever Breeze for March, 2015:

  • Three options of execution (placement): the intra line conditioner, placement over racks, under a raised floor.
  • Power of one precision conditioner – from 5 to 30 kW (5 kW, 7 kW, 10 kW, 15 kW, 20 kW, 25 kW, 30 kW).
  • Possibility of consolidation of any number of conditioners in a uniform cluster.
  • Air temperature in a cold corridor of +22 °C (± 2 °C).
  • Temperature condition of work – from -55 °C to +50 °C.
  • Refrigerating capacity control range – 100%.
  • Built-in ultrasonic system of moistening.
  • The built-in system of remote monitoring and management integrated with the ISX Central system.

2014

Registration in the state registry of trademarks

The management system for climate in DPC of Clever Breeze was registered in the summer 2014 by the state register of trademarks and service marks and received the certificate on trademark No. 515706.

According to "Utilex", Clever Breeze is developed especially for the Russian conditions: power of heat extraction is up to 30 kW from a rack at a temperature up to -55 °C.

Began with "Utilex" production of precision Clever Breeze conditioners on chill water

In a line of management systems for climate of DPC of Clever Breeze created by Utilex company new development – Clever Breeze conditioners on chill water appeared in the spring of 2014. The new product allows to create or upgrade in short terms the cooling system of data processing centers with water cooling.

The management system for climate of Clever Breeze was created by Utilex company for solving of tasks on creation or upgrade server and data centers, to increase in power of a conditioning system, ensuring reservation or elimination of zones of local overheating. Conditioners with freon cooling with power from 7 to 30 kW were earlier basic element of the Clever Breeze systems. Now the line was added by a new product – the intra line conditioner with cooling on the 50 kW chill water.

The new Clever Breeze conditioner with cooling on chill water allows to provide the high power of a conditioning system of DPC. Unlike freon conditioners, Clever Breeze with water cooling gives ample opportunities for scaling of a system with increase in loading up to 50 kW at a rack without capital reconstruction server.

Besides, cooling on chill water allows to reduce costs and to reduce time for implementation of smooth operation of a system: in case of blackout, a system is capable to provide cooling at the expense of stocks of a cold water in storage containers.

This development will be useful to the companies which made a choice for benefit of the chill cooling system of DPC. Power of conditioning systems is increased

On January 28, 2014 the Utilex company announced expansion of a line of management systems for climate in DPC of Clever Breeze introduction of the 10, 30 and 50 kW precision conditioners.

The new management system for climate of Clever Breeze with a power up to 50 kW will help to create and scale quickly and effectively data processing centers without additional capital costs and reorganization of the premises. The customer has an opportunity to pick up an optimal variant of performance of a climate system for DPC of any scale.

2012: Integration with software modules of APC InfraStruxure Central

The Russian developer of the infrastructure solutions "Utilex" and division of APC by Schneider Electric of Schneider Electric company announced in the fall of 2012 integration of software modules of APC InfraStruxure Central with a monitoring system and conditioning of Clever Breeze developed by Utilex company. The controller used in Clever Breeze and small-size DPC of DataStone became the first Russian engineering and infrastructure development integrated with APC ISX Central.

Thanks to integration of the Clever Breeze device with APC ISX Central specialists of IT and engineering departments had an opportunity of operational increase in power and reservation of conditioning systems of data centers and server based on engineering structure of APC InfraStruxure using Clever Breeze without any additional settings of a system.

Development of Utilex company by Clever Breeze was created for satisfaction of requirements of the companies which need to create or upgrade the server premises with the minimum costs, in short terms to increase conditioning system power, to provide reservation or to eliminate a zone of local overheating.

Clever Breeze allows to increase the power of a conditioning system server up to 5 kW and has an opportunity to be cascaded for increase in power of cooling or reservation according to schemes N+1 above.

This monitoring system and managements of climate can be set over the system of placement of the equipment server, under a raised floor or in any standard telecommunication 19-inch cabinet.

The precision conditioner (power of 2.4 kW, 5 kW, 7 kW or 10 kW), the controller, the internal block, the external block (condenser) and the system of moistening is a part of Clever Breeze.

One of important advantages of Clever Breeze is the built-in controller. He not only makes monitoring of temperature of cold and hot corridors, analyzes a status and refrigerating capacity of conditioners, monitors a status of uninterruptible power supply units and humidity indoors and also performs functions of a control and management system for access to the premises, traces history of events, provides in a remote format via the web interface the image from video cameras of any format. At the same time in case of installation in the premises of several server cabinets, network interaction of controllers ensures the coordinated work of all above-mentioned systems.

Integration of the given system with software modules of APC InfraStruxure Central of Schneider Electric company allows to provide required fault tolerance of a system of a microclimate in the shortest possible time without significant reconstruction of the engineering systems of server premises that guarantees significant economy of capital costs and project deadlines on upgrade of server.

Thanks to compatibility with APC InfraStruxure Central and support of the SNMP protocol, the user of Clever Breeze will not need to configure in addition the device before start in operation. It is enough to visit the website of American Power Conversion (APC) company, to download the setup file, and a system will be installed automatically.
