The Rosneft will implement a project management system

The EastBanc Technologies company signed the agreement with Rosneft company on development and deployment of a project management system on the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform, the press service of integrator reported on January 29, 2013.

Objectives

The project management system is intended for "RN-Inform", the child IT enterprise of Rosneft. Development will take place in several stages, creation of a uniform information field for all IT departments will become its result.

Tasks

The task of EastBanc Technologies consists in development of the regulating documentation, creation of a prototype of a system and start of the pilot version in several project teams "RN-Inform". Refining of terms of reference, completion and replication of a system for all staff of project office of the company will become the final stages.

"Participation in business process automation of Rosneft is an invaluable experience and a call, especially now when the company is in process of merge to TNK-BP — Dmitry Talochkin, the director of EastBanc Technologies noted. — It is important for us that within this project we will be able to show the competences and extensive experiment in the development area and implementations of project management systems. At this stage of creation and system implementation, as trial operation, we are going to provide to several managers "RN-Inform" uniform working and information space based on SharePoint 2010 and Project Server 2010 for joint formation of the scheduled plan of the project, project resources (including external contractors), formations of TimeSheets, authority delegation and accounting of labor costs on the basis of the analytical OLAP system, joint work of a project team over documents and contents of the project. In the long term, according to the results of trial operation, a system will be implemented on everything "RN-Inform", and its functionality is expanded".
