JSC NIIAT determines fuel consumption rates on nature

The Omnicomm company completed the joint project with Nauchno-Issledovatelskim Institutom Avtomobilnogo Transporta (JSC NIIAT) in natural researches of routes for further determination of consumption rates of fuel by linear buses by means of the progammno-hardware solution of a GLONASS/GPS, the press service of the company reported on February 18, 2013. As the technical implementer in the project the Omnicomm-Service company acted.

Scientific solution

As test objects buses of the 10th bus fleet SUE MOSGORTRANS are selected.

The state unitary enterprise the 10th bus fleet Mosgortrans for regulation of fuel consumption by linear buses uses the mathematical model of institute approved by Ministry of Transport in 2008. Due to the changes in the organization and the modes of the movement, acquisition of the new rolling stock in vehicle fleet, the analysis and assessment of adequacy of model to new conditions was required. For obtaining the most exact data on the value of fuel consumption of vehicles it is necessary to use at the same time experimental and calculation method for the purpose of comparison and the analysis of the acquired information. Decided to reach it based on a modern monitoring system and fuel consumption of Omnicomm, having been objective data the basis for all research.

Implementation provided control of fuel consumption on routes, typical for these vehicles: the movement on the city, on trunks, bus routes, etc. Control of operation of the engine in the movement and on parking, control high-speed the mode and a run and on the basis of data retrieveds was estimated, a system calculated individual basic consumption rates of fuel for the selected type of the vehicle. In researches of this sort it is extremely important to have exact indicators to carry out the correct analysis and to record standards.

We repeatedly used a system when carrying out natural tests at the different enterprises and always received excellent results".
