On May 18, 2022, the Savelovsky Court of Moscow sentenced Andrei Trubkin to eight years in prison for a major fraud that he committed as director of the Temp NPP (developer of components of the fuel systems of strategic bombers-missile carriers Tu-22M3 and Tu-160M2).

According to TASS, citing court spokesman Maria Mikhailova, Trubkin was found guilty of four crimes committed under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud on an especially large scale"). In addition to the prison term, the punishment includes an amount of 102 million rubles, which the accused will have to pay to the Pace NPP.

Trubkin was detained on suspicion of embezzlement of about 200 million rubles. In order to stop the car in which the detainee and his wife were moving, the police had to block the Yaroslavl highway: the woman behind the wheel refused to stop on the orders of law enforcement officers and tried to escape. When detained, Trubkin introduced himself as the name of his brother and presented his driver's license.

According to the investigation, Trubkin withdrew the assets of Temp NPP Korotkov OJSC under the guise of paying for various services. In particular, contracts were concluded for the repair of the roof, the installation of an automated control system and software, the reconstruction of production facilities and the performance of work on the calculation of structural elements for strength. The case file, which was investigated in the investigation department at the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Northern Administrative District of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, contained eight episodes.

While under arrest, Trubkin complained of beatings by the investigation. According to him, he was called to the investigator to familiarize himself with the case materials, where the law enforcement officer allegedly turned his hand.[1]
