SK "RESO-Garantiya" insures the business by the disaster-proof solution of DWH

I-Teco integrator created a disaster-proof complex of DWH for RESO-Garantiya insurance company on the platform of solution Netapp FAS3270, the company contractor reported on March 5, 2013.

Prerequisites

By the end of 2009 opportunities of the park of storage systems in corporate data center of RESO-Garantiya were exhausted and ceased to meet the growing business needs. The management of insurance company made the decision - to update a complex of DWH for systems, main, critical for business. Optimal and the most corresponding to specifics of a field of activity of the customer the solution proposed by I-Teco company is recognized.

One of compulsory provisions - deployment in each of subsystems of the main business and critical applications:

• the unique insurance AIS system developed by specialists RESO-Garantiya using the Oracle database
• corporate mail of the company,
• systems of virtualization of jobs.

Reality

On the platform of products and technologies of Netapp the complex of storage systems created taking into account requirements of the customer to providing opportunities in data management, performance and fault tolerance of modern solutions is created.

Implementation of DWH is carried out from September to November, 2012. Within the project the complex of works is executed:

• deployment of two high-performance storage systems of Netapp FAS3270, each of which has more than 100 TB of disk space;
• ensuring disaster tolerance of the solution due to synchronization of data between systems located on different platforms of DPC;
• delivery of a storage system of Netapp FAS2240-4 with a capacity of disk space more than 100 of TB for operational data backup.

300 terabyte

In DPC of the customer the end-to-end system of data storage including 300 TB disk spaces which two thirds are placed on high-performance disks functions. The maximum level of protection is maintained due to formation of the disaster-proof scheme ensuring safety of information and reduction of a downtime of business even in case of local accidents and accidents. Additional data protection within the project is implemented by creation of the disk storage system performing backup.
