Development and modernization
In August 2012, it became known that the Darnitsa group of companies will invest 600 million rubles. in the modernization of one of its four bakeries - Lana Bakery in Lomonosov, which will increase capacity tenfold as a result.
Darnitsa also intends to update the rest of the production. Analysts believe that thanks to investment plans, Darnitsa will be able to increase its market share in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region from 12 to 15% within two years, but this will be done by displacing small players, and not market leaders - Facer OJSC and Karavay OJSC.
History
2023: Kolomensky "bought the Darnitsa group
In mid-September 2023, Kolomensky Bakery and Confectionery Holding LLC, Russia's largest manufacturer of bakery products, acquired the Darnitsa group in St. Petersburg.
Kolomensky belongs to one of the companies of Alexei Tulupov, who also owns the development group Sminex-Inteko. The holding employs more than 7 thousand people at 11 production sites in Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Tver region. In turn, Darnitsa is one of the ten leading companies in the baking industry in Russia in terms of revenue and volume of products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Kolomensky bought a 100% stake in the authorized capital of the Darnitsa group of companies. The deal covers two production sites in St. Petersburg and Pushkin, which together produce more than 160 tons of bakery and confectionery products per day. The company specializes in the production of bread, die, soft waffles and other products. The financial terms of the contract are not disclosed.
The deal will strengthen Kolomensky's position in the fresh bread market in the North-West Federal District, as well as increase production capacity in the region by more than 40%. In addition, the company will be able to expand the range of products and increase the number of customers.
Before the deal with Kolomensky, Aladushkin Group has been the sole owner of Darnitsa since the beginning of 2023. The previous owner is Maxim Lisyukov, general director of Lana Bakery JSC, which is part of Darnitsa. Earlier, Kolomensky acquired the Khlebny Dom and Volzhsky Baker companies. The holding intends to accelerate the development of production in all product areas both by deploying new lines at existing sites and by building new factories. [1]
