Parus-ADEM

In March, 2013 the Russian companies "Parus" also ADEM provided in St. Petersburg joint development which is intended for seamless integration of systems CADCAMCAPP///PDM (Computer-Aided Process Planning, CAPP, "An automated system of technology preparation of production". — The editor's note) ERP^[1] with page^[1]

The idea of development of a new solution appeared during implementation ERP systems Parus on one large defense enterprise. The management of this enterprise set a condition not to touch designers who work in systems AutoCAD and "Compass". As a result there was a need for the solution which will provide automatic unloading of the data on a product forming in the course of production preparation without their repeated input. Specialists of ADEM company which has own of the same name integrated CAD/CAM/CAPP system were involved to its development.

Afterwards it became clear that such solution can interest also other Russian engineering enterprises as it helps to reduce sharpness of some of problems, typical for them. Need for the provided innovation, in particular, is connected with the fact that in the domestic industry a catastrophic situation with the IT personnel. "As soon as the specialist masters work of c DBMS Oracle which serves as the platform for our ERP system — the commercial director of Parus company noted Kazarezov Alexey— that leaves at once. Because of it at the enterprises it is difficult to create a command for implementation of a corporate system and its integration with other software packages. Therefore, solutions which will lower load of representatives of IT services of industrial enterprises to the maximum are necessary".

Developers expect that questions to the defense enterprises for an occasion of cost of their products which arose at the Russian government and the president will promote successful sales of the presented solution which received the name "Parus-ADEM". Hopes are pinned on the fact that seamless integration of CAD/CAM/CAPP/PDM with ERP allows to provide already on early implementation phase of the defense order reasonable production costs of a new product and thus promotes emergence of transparency, necessary for the state control, in pricing.

The presented solution, providing end-to-end process automation from development of design documentation before creation of technology process and managing programs for machines, allows to increase also the accuracy of work planning and resources, to reduce terms of design and technology preparation of production. Therefore, the expenses of industrialists connected with purchases and stock holding of materials and also with wear of the equipment and an expense of tools can be reduced.

The solution Parus-ADEM is intended only for those enterprises which implemented or implement the ERP system of Parus corporation. According to the development director of the PDM/CAPP tools of ADEM company Andrey Krasilnikov, similar developments can be created for any other corporate systems, including SAP products and 1C. However the corresponding requests from the enterprises and ERP developers did not arrive yet.
