Business in Russia

2022: Refusal to announce withdrawal from Russia amid crisis in Ukraine

In March 2022, the largest manufacturer of paints in Europe, AkzoNobel, which produces, among other things, Dulux paints, did not rule out the collapse of its business in Russia due to supply problems and a drop in buyer solvency amid Russia's special operation in Ukraine and subsequent sanctions from the United States and the EU. In such conditions, announcing the departure from the market in which the company has worked for more than 30 years does not make sense, the head of AkzoNobel explained.
