Rosneft implemented a management system for IT projects

In "RN-Inform", the affiliated enterprise of Rosneft which is responsible for operation of the automation equipment and IT infrastructure at the enterprises of the company which are engaged in production, processing and sale of natural resources the first stage of system implementation of management of project activity in the field of IT came to the end. In May, 2013 the company integrator of the project - EastBanc Technologies reported about it.

The solution is constructed based on the Microsoft Project Server platform and integrated with the SharePoint-portal which was already existing in the company. Work on IT projects in a system is regulated by a packet of the local regulating documentation which within the project for "RN-Inform" was also developed by EastBanc Technologies.

Each project in a system is initiated and kept within standards of the company, goes through four key measurable stages, can be connected with other projects and automatically gets to a project portfolio.

Functions of a system for work with projects, among other, include templates and standards for creation of plans, automatic creation of the structured work area on each project, a possibility of joint work with the project documentation in project library, automatic formation of the financial plan of the project and delivery plan, calculation of financial and non-financial performance indicators of the project, etc.

EastBanc Technologies tells that further development and plans for the second queue of a system include expansion of set of output and report forms, development of the system of creation of any reports on the basis of OLAP technologies and integration with the internal information systems "RN-Inform"(SAP R/3).
