Mind of VKS (before iMind)

The product Mind is developed on the basis of modern technology of communications in real time of WebRTC allowing to perform video communication via the browser from any place in the world in excellent quality of media (video and audio). Unlike other solutions of a video conferencing for use of Mind service it is not necessary to set special hardware and the software, it is possible to be connected to a session instantly on Plug and Play technology.

The product Mind is intended as for holding online meetings and meetings (video conferences), and for the organization of webinars and mass online broadcastings. The solution Mind has a broad spectrum of functionality and is easily integrated into IT infrastructure the organizations. The product can be installed as at server capacities of customer organization, including in the form of an image of the virtual machine, and in the form of a cloud solution (SaaS). VIDEOCONFERENCING It is possible to be connected to a session of Mind by different methods: via the browser, from the mobile device iOS or Android, with SIP- devices (through the network protocol) and also to call from the normal landline phone.

Video conferences

Solution for the organization of video communication with a small amount of equal participants. Video conferences are actively used in corporate communications today for interaction when the visual contact of several people who are at distance is important. The format "much-to-much" assumes that all participants of a meeting are involved in discussion of working questions.

Using possibilities of Mind, it is possible to display at the same time images to 25 interlocutors. Participants of video conference can communicate in a chat, browse documents in the course of the online meeting and also "share" the desktop and programs. All rights of ordinary participants are by default available to them, but the moderator of a conference can manage the rights of participants at discretion.

Webinars

Webinars – the most convenient and economic format of holding online actions with a performance, as a rule, one, are more rare than several speakers. The "one-to-many" format assumes that all participants see only the speaker and the shown materials. It is authorized to participants of a webinar to publish messages in a chat and to browse record of an action.

• in December Mind released the free unlimited license of server solution Mind intended for local installation of software of Mind in the customer's infrastructure. This license is expected one active action and not limited by the number of users and time of action
• in September Mind expanded functionality cloud with SaaS of the platform for carrying out video conferences and webinars, available to users to the address imind.ru. Now it is possible to be connected to the events held from a cloud solution of Mind not only from computers and mobile devices, but also from hardware terminals of a video conferencing of the different producers working under the SIP/h.323 protocol and SIP telephones
• in July the Mind company published Mind API - a cloud platform which allows to create applications by means of which groups of people communicate on the Internet using a voice and video. 2017

• in December Mind updated the portal of user support. Now users of Mind can not only send the letter to the address of support support@mind.com, but also be registered on the portal, trace a work progress of specialists of Mind in their requests, browse history of the requests, estimate quality of work of specialists of support
• in June there was a version of the solution Mind 3.12. System administrators had an opportunity to manage loading of a system, to redistribute loading between media servers depending on an action priority, to transfer users from one active action to another. The connectivity to an action of RTSP cameras is supported. Now it is possible to call a conference, using the button on the website.

2015

Testing of server solution in the network protected by VPN products C-Terra

S-Terra CSP and Mind companies successfully completed in January, 2015 testing of server solution of Mind for the organization of a video conferencing in the network protected by VPN products C-Terra.

The video conferencing is even more often used in daily work not only large geographically distributed corporations, but also the organizations of a public sector and also the enterprises of medium and small business where there is a need for regular remote communication of employees. As a result of testing successful work of the solution of a video conferencing of Mind for users as desktop computers with set "C-Terra the Client" for Windows OS, and mobile platforms with Android installed "C-Terra of Client-M" for OS was confirmed.

High quality and stability of work in the protected network were shown during testing of all functions necessary for the organization of effective interaction of participants of video conference, including: transfer of video and audio streams, broadcast of a desktop, demonstration of documents, text messaging.

Release of the version of Mind 3.5

On March 24, 2015 the Mind company is proud released upgraded version of the solution Mind 3.5 with enhanced capabilities of administration and the improved user functionality.

In this version the mechanism of automatic reminders by the user about the planned meetings and an opportunity to unroll video in quality 4K Ultra HD on all screen in is created Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Interface of a product, 2015

Users can receive automatic reminders on the meetings planned in the calendar and new invitations even at the closed window of the Google Chrome browser, for this purpose it is enough install the Mind Agent extension for Google Chrome, available in shop of expansions of the browser.

Release of the version of Mind 3.6

• In June Mind put on the market upgraded version of the solution for video conferencings Mind 3.6 with additional user functionality. In the new version of the solution there were two additional templates of actions - Lecturer and Selector for holding the training actions and conference calls. Video by participants is displayed in all tabs of an action for convenience of work of speakers now, and users Google Chrome also Internet Explorer had an opportunity to obtain information on expanded statistics of Internet connection.

Compatibility with the Yealink systems

• in December Yealink, the supplier of terminal solutions for unified communications, and Mind announced full compatibility of the room Yealink VC400 and VC120 systems, the desktop videophones Yealink SIP-VP-T49G with program MCU Mind and official start of successful cooperation between the companies.

2014

Testing of server solution in the protected ViPNet network

• Infotecs, producer of program, hardware-software VPN solutions and means of cryptographic information protection, together with Mind company held testing of server solution of a video conferencing of Mind in the protected ViPNet network. Testing was held by Infotecs in July, 2014. According to its results, the solution Mind shows stable transfer of video signal in high resolution on stationary and mobile devices when functioning in the environment of ViPNet.

On February 25, 2014 the Mind company announced product update release - i.Mind 2.19.

Improvement of scalability, reliability

The main architectural changes in a product are directed to increase in scalability, reliability and fault tolerance of a product, simplification of the interface for users.

At the heart of new release the service-oriented architecture (SOA) within which all components of a system are considered as separate modules with accurately certain interfaces is put. Modules can be combined and reused that gives to a product additional flexibility: replacement or completion of any components of service does not affect other components and a system in general. Components support horizontal scaling that allows to increase the number of servers in a system for carrying out a large number of simultaneous conferences.

Increasing the level of a usability and "friendliness" of a product, developers simplified the interface, changed design of the main window of an action. In particular, not used areas for increase in the area of viewing documents are deleted from the channel of the speaker, the About the Action tab on which the user by default gets is added if the action did not begin yet. At the same time the product completely saved the business logic and will not demand from users of additional efforts and time for adaptation.

Mind 3.0: The solution of a video conferencing in Ultra HD quality

In the spring of 2014 of Mind the first brought to the Russian market the software solution of a video conferencing with support of permission 4KUltra HD that is confirmed with the research conducted by the international consulting company J'Son & Partners. This solution VIDEOCONFERENCING, the first in the market, giving to users an opportunity to communicate with the highest quality of video and with faultless sound quality on costs tens times lower, than cost of traditional hardware solutions of VKS.

The solution Mind 3.0 essentially differs from all analogs existing in the market: it supports video communication in permission of Ultra HD without installation of the special software or hardware. Inter-user communication is performed via the browser by means of voice and video conference with the help connected the webcam and the microphone on computers or mobile devices. Participation in the video conferences passing on Mind 3.0 is available to users of different operating systems and mobile platforms. It is the first in the Russian market and the operated system of a video conferencing of similar level shown industrial only at the moment that is confirmed with the research of the Russian market of video conferences in the Ultra HD format conducted by J'son & Partners Consulting company in April, 2014. Data are obtained according to the results of the analysis of solutions 38 domestic and the solutions VIDEOCONFERENCING foreign developers.

The technology is based on the open WebRTC standard developed by Google which allows to perform video communications in real time via the Internet browser and to reproduce audio and video content in ultrahigh quality. Because WebRTC is not focused on multipoint connections, Mind created the own program server of a multipoint conference (MCU: Multipoint Control Unit), having provided an opportunity to hold sessions of video conference with participation of a large number of participants via the browser. The solution also supports Adobe Flash technology that does it to the most flexible for users.

Users of Mind 3.0 had an opportunity to carry out video conferences in permission of Ultra HD without the additional financial investments and need of significant infrastructure changes. It is enough to current clients to update the used version of the solution.

The possibility of implementation of video communications in Ultra HD quality is especially important for the companies, the industries and those social spheres where high detailing of the image (medicine, remote education, the engineering companies, architectural bureaus, the situational centers, etc.) and also is necessary for mass actions with broadcasting on big screens (for example, video bridges). i.Mind 2.0

In the version of i.Mind 2.0 – more than 20 new changes which considerably simplified work and which increased its efficiency. A part of functionality of the solution was expanded: for example, settings of the rights of participants, an opportunity to assign the moderator's rights. Blocks of polls, calendars of conferences, the address directory are added.

The technical director of Mind Polyanin Sergey is sure that the market will positively make a new solution: "Functionally the release of i.Mind 2.0 became much more attractive - there were such opportunities as a white board demanded by users, integration with telephony, the scheduler of meetings, joint work with documents, remote control a desktop. Also in version 2.0 essentially new features appeared: online action SMS invitations, pre-moderation of messages in a chat, import of contacts from an e-mail client Microsoft Outlook and many other things".

One more new feature simplifying work with a system – a template of conferences. Now the user can select the ready option offered Mind or create own customized template meeting its personal requirements.

The release of i.Mind 2.0 is constructed on the self-produced unique platform. Focused on fast creation of media cloud solutions, it was designed and implemented taking into account the most strict requirements on performance, reliability, scaling.

Unlike the previous version, i.Mind 2.0 it is implemented on HTML5, it is flexibly scaled, is able to work not only with FMS, but also others media servers popular today, and unique algorithms on adaptation of audio-and video flows depending on capacity of users allowed to reduce response time at communication to minimum possible, occasionally even smaller, than in mobile communication.

The service of video meetings i.Mind appeared in the market in 2011 and since then managed to prove as the simple and reliable solution for business communications - webinars, video meetings, conferences, online trainings and many other. Based on this platform online presidiums of a batch United Russia, VideoMost between the youth forums "Seliger-2011" and "Mashuk-2011", a series of webinars for intellectual club Brain On were organized.

2012

• On May 21, 2012 the Mind company set a world record in the "Most Large-scale Online Training in the World" nomination. During the largest webinar organized by Mind company in Moscow, the representative of the Guinness Book of Records registered 12,012 participants online.

iMind for iPad

On January 23, 2012 the Mind Labs company, the developer and the supplier of the hi-tech software for carrying out video conferences, announced start of iMind for iPad - mobile application for iPad. This is one of the first mobile clients for a video conferencing in Russia. The user-friendly interface of mobile application allows the user to participate in online actions without binding to the desktop computer.

Mobile application of iMind for iPad gives an opportunity of participation in video conferences, webinars, online broadcastings as the viewer with a possibility of interactive communication in a chat, access to the documents shown by the speaker (the presentations, graphic files) and a possibility of change of their scale during viewing. The unlimited number of the audience can participate in an online action by means of iPad that considerably increases audience of the held events.
