The northwest regional center VTB implements technologies of virtualization

The IBS Platformix company completed implementation of technology of virtualization on the VMware platform in the Northwest regional center JSC VTB Bank (SZRTs VTB), the press service of the company reported on August 13, 2013.

Project Background

Within the current upgrade of IT infrastructure, the management of SZRTs VTB in 2012 makes the decision on transition to virtual IT infrastructure for increase in efficiency of use of the equipment, resource optimization, ensuring flexibility of implementation of new services and also providing timely IT services to business divisions.

The open competition helped with determination of the contractor, the system integrator IBS Platformix company became it.

Project Progress

Within the project the hardware-software complex of virtualization of VMware on the BladeSystem c7000 HP platform is implemented. The module of VMware of SRM provides the disaster-proof solution, allowing to recover virtual servers on the main and reserve platforms SZRTs VTB in St. Petersburg. With assistance of specialists of IBS Platformix pilot transfer of a number of IT systems of SZRTs VTB to the created virtual platform is executed.

At the final stage training is provided, consulting services in the software of VMware are rendered that will allow further IT specialists of SZRTs VTB to administer and operate new infrastructure.
