Rosatom will enhance information security of the NPP

In September, 2013 the "subsidiary"of Rosatom performing functions of the operator of the NPP of state corporation -Rosenergoatom Concern – ordered development of the concept of a corporate system of information security. It is going to be used both in central office of concern, and in 10 of its branches – the operating nuclear power plants.

Development of the concept of creation of the cybersecurity system should be conducted taking into account requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and also the uniform industry standard of information security, said in the project documentation.

"Being operating organization, Rosenergoatom Concern, according to the Federal Law "About Use of Atomic Energy", bears all completeness of responsibility for ensuring nuclear and radiation safety at all stages of lifecycle of the NPP", - it is noted in the same place.

During the project examination of processes of providing and management of cybersecurity in concern and its branches, the analysis acting in concern and the industry of documentation connected with providing Information Security and also the analysis of compliance of processes of providing Information Security to requirements of normative legal acts of Russia in data protection, normative and methodical documents of regulating authorities, the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and industry requirements will be conducted.

Besides, in addition to development directly of the concept of the IB future system (includes development of system architecture of providing Information Security and a management system of cybersecurity), to the contractor it is also necessary to develop the road map of implementation of a system, to create its budget assessment and to develop programs of necessary projects.

Among requirements of Rosenergoatom to the IB future system – the ensuring protection of business processes at all stages of functioning which is minimum limiting influence on business processes, cost efficiency, etc. On development of the concept 8 weeks are allotted to future contractor.

It should be noted that Rosenergoatom carries out request for proposals on right to contract on development of the concept of this system already for the second time. The concern announced the similar procedure at the beginning of July, 2013, however the Croc company to which according to the results of consideration of the request refused admission to further participation in request for proposals filed a complaint about the solution of a tender committee on it to arbitration committee of Rosenergoatom.

Then also seven other applicants for the contract among whom they were registered Microtest,"nuclear heating plant" and PricewaterhouseCoopers were refused.Informzashita was the only company which Rosenergoatom allowed to further participation in request for proposals.
