Vodokanal of the city of Ivanovo replaced provider of a control system of transport

On November 13, 2013 the Omnicomm company (Omnikomm) announced vehicle fleet of JSC Vodokanal end of the equipment of the systems of satellite monitoring of transport and control of fuel consumption. Implementation is carried out by Omnikomm-Ivanovo company.

Project Tasks

For effective management of the extensive and various park of the equipment the management of JSC Vodokanal in 2008 equipped transport with a monitoring system of one of the Russian producers. However, a system carried out only a part of necessary tasks and could not ensure control functioning of hinged mechanisms and the general fuel consumption. Besides, low degree of protection of the equipment allowed to put drivers it out of action. In view of all these factors, company management made the decision on replacement of a monitoring system.

When choosing the new supplier of the solution in the field of monitoring of transport, considered earlier arising problems. Selected with the separate requirement the high accuracy of the used fuel level sensors as the error even in 5% at large volumes of the spent fuel and lubricants allowed drivers to use it for frauds.

The equipment Omnicomm met all requirements of the customer - the maximum error of the Omnicomm LLS fuel level sensor makes 1%, and it is an official measuring instrument and is entered in the state register of measuring instruments of the Russian Federation. Existence of an extent universal entry on Omnicomm terminals gave the chance to take operation of the hinged equipment under control. Besides, anti-vandal execution of onboard terminals and sensors and also sealing of all connectors, allowed to avoid intervention in operation of the equipment from drivers.

Project Progress

Within testing of the equipment Omnicomm of 16 pieces of equipment of joint stock company Vodokanal equipped with fuel level sensors Omnicomm LLS, onboard GLONASS terminals Omnicomm FAS, Omnicomm Optim and Omnicomm Profi. According to the results of testing it became clear that all consumption rates of fuel on which at the enterprise fuel and lubricants were written off earlier - are overestimated, and a considerable part of fuel was plundered. Review of consumption rates and also control of drivers led to considerable expense reduction on fuel and lubricants and also provided the management and service of the mode of the enterprise of reliable information about work of the transport park. In a month of use the management of joint stock company Vodokanal made the decision on equipment by the equipment Omnicomm of all vehicle fleet of the company.

Project Results

As a result of implementation it was succeeded to stop large plunders of fuel and lubricants, to adjust control of operation of the equipment and stop its inappropriate use, besides, the discipline of drivers increased. The software of a system allowed to simplify filling with drivers of waybills considerably. Thanks to the equipment Omnicomm, today JSC Vodokanal monthly saves more than 150 thousand rubles (about 20% of expenses on fuel and lubricants). In the closest plans of the company integration of a monitoring system of transport and control of fuel consumption with 1C and installation of the terminal of waybills.
