On November 15, 2013 the 1C-Rarus company reported: the project of automation of retail network of Gloss building materials in Arkhangelsk and area is complete. Technology basis of a system - "1C: Integrated Automation 8".
Project Tasks
Earlier shops and divisions of the company used for work of 10 different information bases which are not integrated mutually. Sellers quickly were guided only on the range in the shops and long specified existence of goods in other shops or warehouses. Managers of office made separate requests for a warehouse to learn about existence of goods for planning of marketing actions. There was no accounting of the rejected and damaged goods. The ability to manage vendor relations for receiving all purchasing bonuses was not.
To resolve questions, it was required to replace separate bases with the unified information system. The main requirement of the customer - preserving of all smoothly running processes on sections of purchases, retail and wholesales, logistics and marketing. The new information system was decided to be created on the basis of the 1C: Integrated Automation 8 software product. Project implementation was charged by 1C-Rarus companies.
Project Results
The project automates more than 200 jobs in six shops, in warehouses and at the central office of retail chain stores. The functionality of the program is adapted to requirements of the company, all workflows "are transferred" to a new system.
Using the 1C: Integrated Automation 8 system the efficiency of business is increased on sections:
Purchases
A system helps to keep account of bonuses which are provided by a number of suppliers at accomplishment of conditions of agreements. As a result the company gets all deserved purchasing awards in full. All defects, shortages and excesses are controlled by deliveries of products. The program helps to create and control closing of claims to suppliers. Deliveries became more rhythmical, the company receives all ordered goods in necessary quantity in time.
Sales
A system contains all information on existence over 50,000 names of construction and finishing materials: wall-paper, linoleum, varnishes, paints, carpet, false ceilings, wall panels, ceramic tile, plumbing fixtures, construction mixes, goods for the house and dacha, household chemicals and perfumery. Sellers see where and in what quantity the goods are stored. At the time of the address of the client they can quickly consult it. Service of buyers accelerated. Providing discounts to wholesale buyers is optimized – at sale a system automatically considers individual discounts for each buyer and calculates additional bonuses depending on order amount. Wholesale clients remain are correct retail chain stores.
Logistics and warehouse
Using a new system the company optimized delivery to buyers: the goods move directly from the central warehouse or from suppliers, passing shops. Also the internal logistics is improved: managers in shops had an opportunity to quickly order necessary goods, employees of a warehouse in real time see the order, complete it and send to shop. A system automatically calculates costs for logistics and allows to find ways for their optimization. Clients receive goods in time, the quantity of errors when completing orders is reduced.
The managers of office obtaining operational information about warehouse stocks carry out the analysis of a relevant commodity remaining balance on the basis of which they plan marketing actions. The turnover of goods increased and the volume of warehouse stocks decreased.
Service and quality
All processes connected with a design of the damaged goods, further transfer to the third-party service centers and return are automated. Today the staff of department of quality precisely knows when and how many goods they reported to the service centers they and can tell clients approximate date of accomplishment of repair. Account of the reasons of transfer of goods to repair and defects – scratches, fight, packaging damages is kept. There was an opportunity to control "places of emergence" of defects – in transit, in shop, at the supplier. The authentic analysis of financial losses is carried out, their completion by parties at fault is controlled.
Marketing activity
A system supports continuous holding marketing actions. Each shop at the right time obtains information on conditions of holding an action: dates, participating goods and size of a discount. Actions are started in time, all goods are on sale at the specified prices. Buyers actively purchase these goods. The program also supports a corporate bonus loyalty system, allows to sell and accept for payment gift cards.
Finance and planning
The department is included in a single system, employees work only with up-to-date data, the accuracy of planning of income and expenses, cash flows increased.
