"AVK" transfers IT infrastructure to "cloud"

On November 25, 2013 the Softline company announced project completion on transfer of IT infrastructure of the Russian representative office of AVK in "cloud" of Google Apps for Business.

Project Tasks

Transition to cloud computing is a part of the comprehensive program of upgrade of IT infrastructure of business of AVK in Russia. Some time ago within upgrade of a system of sales of the company all employees interacting with clients received tablet computers, their use in work became from this point obligatory. Therefore secure remote access from mobile devices to corporate mail and working documents became an objective necessity.

Project Progress

Analyzing the offers existing in the market capable to provide implementation of an assigned task, the management of AVK came to a conclusion that the Google Apps cloud applicaions will become the optimal choice. The Softline company which undertook all organizational and legal issues was engaged in maintenance of transition of AVK company to "clouds" and also provided full technical support.

Transition to Apps Google services considerably simplified a problem of scaling of IT infrastructure of the company. Now when opening new or re-deployments of the existing branches, at acceptance of new employees, inclusion in workflow of people and the whole offices happens quickly and conveniently. Undoubted plus is the fact that for the benefit of at once several isolated branches one specialist can be engaged in management and administration of all processes.

Staff of AVK can work with all Google applications Apps from any mobile device, having entered the e-mail address which upon is an account of Google. At the same time each user automatically receives a set of necessary business tools, respectively, need of discrete installation of a complete set of the office software on each device disappears.

In addition to e-mail Gmail, in AVK-Russia joint work with documents, discussion of projects in Google+ Circles, storage of working information in Google Drive is actively used.

Project Results

According to the results of the project IT specialists of the customer noted reduction of number of the user requests about unavailability of mail. Considerably load of system administrators decreased.
