"The Nizhny Novgorod water utility" completed upgrade of upgrade of a system of protection of PDN

On December 6, 2013 the Softline company announced project completion on creation of a system of personal data protection for the Nizhny Novgorod water utility.

Project Tasks

According to the current legislation all organizations processing personal data are obliged to ensure their safety. The management of the Nizhny Novgorod water utility was faced by a task - to create an information security system according to requirements of Federal Law No. 152 "About personal data" and normative and methodical documents of state bodies of control and supervision in this sphere.

The Softline company having experience in implementation of similar tasks became the winner of competition on execution of this project.

Project Progress

At the initial stage, with the assistance of employees of the Nizhny Novgorod water utility carried out works on studying of the existing documentation on information systems PDN, features of their processing, bench tests are performed. Based on a research recommendations about reduction of systems in compliance to requirements of the federal law, on optimization of structure of technical means, structures ISPDN and processing of personal data are made.

During further works delivery and implementation of the certified information security tools, including instruments of protection against unauthorized access, two-factor authentication using personal electronic keys and the system of a single input, antivirus software, firewalls of the corresponding class of protection, means of cryptography, control of security is performed. During creation of a system solutions of the companies are used: "Code of Security", Kaspersky Lab, Aladdin R.D.

"Implementation of means of protecting of personal data as the most part of organizational and administrative documentation at us was already developed was the main objective of the project, but changes in the legislation and orders of regulators in the field of PDN dictate new rules. Within the project we received not only the working system of data protection of subscribers, but also recommendations about reduction in compliance to the existing documentation. As a result we increased quality of information security management regarding personal data protection. The software and technical means of protection installed and configured by specialists of Softline optimum approach the existing IT infrastructure of the enterprise", - Mikhail Fomin, the CIO of JSC Nizhegorodsky vodokanal noted.

Project Results

On January 29, 2015 the Softline company announced project completion on upgrade of a system of personal data protection for the Nizhny Novgorod water utility. The solution provided compliance of processing of personal data to relevant requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
