Mobile application Compass: 24

In January, 2014 to Ascon was announced the release of mobile application "by the Compass: 24", intended for viewing 3D models created in the Compass-3D system on mobile devices based on Android OS.

The application can be used, for example, for demonstration of developments to partners or colleagues, viewing the models sent by mail and training of employees at bright examples without binding to a workplace, speak in Ascon.

In the application such functions as rotation, scaling and panning of the image, information display about the file are available (the author, the comment). Using function of dynamic section which will appear in the new Compass-3D version of V15, in mobile application it will also be possible to look what is in the developed node or a part, add to the companies.

Representatives of Ascon told TAdviser that further the company assumes to monetize the application, having expanded its functionality and having provided to the user an option to activate these additional opportunities on a commercial basis.

Viewing 3D models in mobile application "the Compass: 24"

Among wishes of the first users "Compass: 24" - implementation of a possibility of viewing in it 2D - drawings. Ascon says that such opportunity will be implemented in the nearest future: "the functionality already is, but we still consciously did not begin to give it to the user as he still demands small completion".

Ascon also told TAdviser that release of the version "the Compass: 24" under iOS it is not planned yet: "it is connected with features of target audience since among technical specialists of Android OS it is widespread more, and products of Apple nevertheless are more characteristic of leadership team", explain in the company.

Representatives of Ascon note that "the Compass: 24" became the first mobile application of the company created for the solution of professional tasks of designers. In 2012 Ascon released the first application -"The Pilot: 24", allowing specialists of the sphere of construction design far off and online to conduct monitoring of affairs on projects and to approve documents, and in 2013 - the application for design of appearance of the product SubDivFormer and game mobile 3D - the designer of Machinator.
