Softline A lot of furniture in corporate network by means of DirectAccess technology implements the project of inclusion of the company.

"There is a lot of furniture" has a distributed network of sales points. To the customer the solution of transparent control of client workstations, functionality of the Active Directory and System Center Configuration Manager was required.

VPN connection did not conform to requirements of the customer: users were forced to be connected to a virtual private network in several stages, to expect completion of authentication, to repeatedly set connection in case of failure. Such type of connection complicated process of management of remote PCs.

Project Progress

The management "Is a lot of furniture" addressed to Softline company. Specialists of Softline suggested to use function of server operating system Windows Server 2012 – DirectAccess. Advantages of technology and an opportunity to perform the project within three weeks convinced the customer.

DirectAccess - the Windows Server OS component, gives the chance to overcome the restrictions connected with use of VPN. The technology allows, in the presence of Internet access, to be connected automatically to the DirectAccess servers, implementing all group politicians of the company, providing quick and secure access to intranet resources.

"During the project the customer designated the need to pass all traffic of the furniture salons through corporate network for control of its use. The DirectAccess technology helped to perform it, - Vitaly Popov, the head of group of infrastructure decisions of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company noted. - Thus, thanks to the DirectAccess setup in It Is a Lot of Furniture company not only flexible management with remote sales points and transparent use of corporate resources, but also control of Internet traffic will be provided".

Andrey Shestakov, the director of information technology of Mnogo mebeli LLC, emphasized: "Now there is a project on migration to the uniform domain of all PCs, and DirectAccess is used for their connection to corporate network. At the moment using this technology a third of capacities (more than 500 computers) is connected already. We are going to translate the remained resources during the near future. But both users (simple access and a minimum of actions), and IT specialists (resources are under constant control) could already estimate convenience of connection".
