Last Release Date: 2018/07/11
Technology: Virtualization,  Data processing centers are technologies for DPC

Virtual computing resources (vDC) within which there is a possibility of flexible management by the selected infrastructure by means of a self-service portal of VMware or API are Dynamic Services for Infrastructure with VMware vCloud (DSI vCloud).

On April 23, 2014 the T-Systems company announced start of service "virtual data center" (vCloud Datacenter Services) for the Russian market.

2018: Adding of opportunities of Virtual Cloud Network

The VMware company announced on July 11, 2018 that T-Systems, the provider of complex services and technology products, added features for Virtual Cloud Network in DSI vCloud service.

Developing the cloud offer, T-Systems reacts to growth of number of the companies which want to start applications in public clouds. Now customers can easily "stretch" the networks of a local data processing center in public DSI vCloud with the minimum reconfiguration — for example, to continue to use the existing IP addresses and network connections. Thanks to a possibility of integrated management of politicians migration of workloads happens much quicker, noted in VMware. The existing politicians of network security can be also expanded to DSI vCloud to strengthen protection — for example, to add microsegmentation support.

Virtual Cloud Network allows T-Systems and it is more effective to its customers to work with applications and data during an era when the share of workloads outside private DPC grows. Being a partner of VMware since 2005, we are glad that NSX Data Center meets the most strict requirements and is a key part of our cloud strategy — Ralf Poggemann, the director of division of Cloud Partner Business, T-Systems said. — We satisfy the growing needs of users for cloud computing and also are ready to the distributed cross-and multicloud model of the future.

According to VMware, DSI vCloud from T-Systems (Dynamic Services for Infrastructure with vCloud) use both corporations, and the company from a segment of SMB which want to implement the hybrid approach. The service of multi-tenant is supported by the VMware Cloud Provider Platform platform, is high - a scalable combination of VMware vSphere, NSX Data Center and VMware vCloud Director. DSI vCloud is available in Austria, Germany, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Great Britain and the USA.

The announced opportunities are available to all customers of DSI vCloud without additional payment.

2014: Output to the market

The solution is brought to the market under the name Dynamic Services for Infrastructure based on VMware vCloud.

Partnership with the company VMware allows integration of own infrastructure of the customer with resources data centers T-Systems. Data transmission at the same time is performed by means of the protected selected connections, and own MPLS- the nodes T-Systems located and in Russia, provide delivery of data and risk minimization from breaks, leaks and so forth.

Virtual data center of T-Systems – a way out when fast expansion of the existing infrastructure or transfer of applications in virtual "cloud" is necessary. The provided technology can be used as temporary solution when replacing the equipment in connection with updating and moving then data quickly come back. The virtual DPC can be used for disaster recovery or as reserve DPC, for example, at break of network. In this case the certain platform with reserve Internet connection will help, it will be provided by T-Systems whose guaranteed capacity provides to 99.9% data availability, critical for business.

T-Systems gives access to a self-service portal by means of which effective management of infrastructure where the customer acts according to the current situation is implemented. If desired perhaps rapid implementation of expansions on demand and simple transfer of applications using the VMware interface.

Alexey Toskin, the CEO of T-Systems CIS, noted: "Data centers of T-Systems company underwent certification, conform to requirements for data protection and provide the high level of safety of information storage, and technologies of VMware and existence of own MPLS network allow to provide to clients the fast, selected, safe and simple data access".
"New service from T-Systems will allow to provide to the companies flexibility of IT necessary for them, helping to satisfy business needs and providing means for the solution of new tasks. At the same time customers will be able to reduce the level of new investments and to cut down the expenses on IT. We are very glad that T-Systems made the choice for benefit of infrastructure of VMware for the clients, and we hope for continuation of our close cooperation", - Alexander Vasilenko, the chief representative of VMware in Russia and the CIS emphasized.
