2018: Automation of a number of functional units of treasury

On August 7, 2018 the Consist Business Group company announced project completion of automation of a number of functional units of treasury based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV in Hoffmann Professionalny Instrument Ltd. According to the company, the implemented solution many times increased the motion speed of documentation and allowed financial service of the company to refuse internal paper document flow.

As it was reported, Consist Business Group and the Russian division of Hoffmann Professionalny Instrument Ltd company conduct long-term cooperation in the direction of business process optimization. Specialists of Consist Business Group implemented and develop the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Within development the decision to automate a number of functional units of treasury, in particular, document flow of requests for payment and expenses was made. At the same time development "from scratch" for the majority of tasks was not required: Consist Business Group proposed the ready-made solution which met the requirements of the customer. Completions were required only regarding requests for an expense in connection with specifics of business processes of Hoffmann Professionalny Instrument Ltd.

According to representatives of the company, thanks to implementation of functionality communication between the divisions of the company located in the different cities improved processes of approval of finance documents were facilitated. Now employees Hoffmann can give and approve in the automatic mode requests for payment and expenses through the ERP system, to check their compliance to the budget. In addition to it, automation concerned budgeting of cash flow for calendar year and executions of requests for payment and an expense.

In a project deliverable the company Hoffmann optimized work of accounting regarding processing of bank statements, creations of payment orders and performing transactions according to the cost accounting. Automation of process of write-off of expenses became additional benefit from implementation. It allows to follow accurately the regulations concerning diversity of expenses according to the cost items and cost centers admitted to the companies and to quickly approve them with financial service.

Need of automation of internal document flow ripened for a long time. Within a year we tried to find the ready-made solution providing workflow automation and which is not connected with our ERP system, but could not be defined. After a year of unsuccessful search we addressed our old partner of Consist Business Group with a request to help us with the solution of this question. Specialists of Consist Business Group suggested to consider the module developed by them Treasury for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and he completely met our requirements. Implementation took place at the high professional grade.

2014: Replacement of ERP

On May 28, 2014 the LANIT company announced upgrade of a resource management system of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise in Hoffmann Professional Tool company.

Project Tasks

The company management was faced the need of expansion of functionality of the operating ERP system as a part of which support of the Russian legislation for correct formation of accounting and tax statements was required.

"The previous version of a system coped with business challenges most successfully. We estimated opportunities and potential of a product line of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, - Dmitry Shutov, the chief financial officer "Hoffmann the Professional Tool" noted. – When we needed adaptation of a system under current business processes, a choice was made for benefit of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2".

Project Progress

Transition to the new version of the ERP system is complete within eight months. As much it was required on completions on expansion of functionality. During this time specialists of LANIT analyzed the systems capabilities used by Hoffmann Professional Tool company, prepared offers on business process optimization in a new system, developed a prototype, trained users and put the new version into operation.

Project Results

For May 28, 2014 in a system 70 employees work. Business applications of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 facilitate preparation of accounting, tax, managerial, personnel records, payroll.

The Hoffmann Professional Tool company seized enhanced capabilities of a system on improvement of functionality regarding shipment of sets of products, formation of a "continuous" packet of shipment documents, accounting of shortage, procedures of reservation and other operational processes. Completions concerned also such labor-consuming tasks as planning and inventory accounting.
