On August 7, 2014 the Omnicomm company announced equipment by a monitoring system of transport of the park of special equipment of Aeromar Ltd. The project was executed by Omnicomm-Service company.
Project Tasks
Need of gain of control over work of vehicle fleet, expenses of fuel and lubricants, led company management to the solution - to equip the park of the equipment with a monitoring system of transport and control of fuel consumption.
Within the competition organized by Aeromar Ltd test equipment of special equipment was carried out by the equipment of four producers. One of key problems of an experiment - confirmation of compatibility of installed systems of monitoring with the special equipment of autoelevators. In particular, connected oil pressure sensors in a hydraulic system to telematic terminals [1], position sensors of outriggers and bodies (complete rise and lowering), the system of identification of the driver and video fixing of operation of the autoelevator.
Based on tests the management of Aeromar Ltd decided to use the Omnicomm system for equipment of the park of the equipment.
Direct project implementation is assigned to Omnicomm-Service company.
Project Progress
Equipment was carried out according to the special diagram excluding idle times of transport. Project works broke into 8 stages and they took 3 months. During this time equipped 140 pieces of equipment.
Project Results
Within the first month of system operation the consumption of fuel and lubricants was cut for 32%, in comparison with similar the period of last year, the general run and idle time of vehicles considerably decreased, besides, operating time of engines idling decreased.
Andrey Tagasov, the chief of service of special transport of Aeromar Ltd noted: "In spite of the fact that system implementation of monitoring demanded the considerable financial investments, the company management is completely sure of the choice. The project already pays for itself, not only thanks to direct economy of fuel and lubricants, but also due to gain of control of work process. In particular, connection of sensors of work of a special equipment of the autoelevator allows to conduct strict control of the technology diagram of service of the aircraft. And duration of idle time and, eventually, regularity of flights of aircrafts depends on timely execution by drivers of tasks. In the near future we are going to transfer successful experience of system implementation of monitoring of Omnicomm to our branches in other cities".
Stanislav Yemelyanov, the deputy CEO of Omnicomm company, emphasized: "It is not the first project of the company where the monitoring system of transport controls not only fuel consumption and movement of the equipment, but also operation of the additional hardware installed on the vehicle. Our equipment is even more often used for control of observance of route and process charts, delivery conditions of loads and also accounting of time fulfilled by special equipment today. All this says that the Russian industry of monitoring of transport takes the next step forward — from control of fuel consumption to control of business processes".
