History

2017:1 million cars worldwide

In real time, Gurtam monitors more than 1 million cars around the world. If you take the average cost of freight transport, then under the control of the developer is a fleet of more than 50 billion. dollars The analytical company Berg Insight named Gurtam the leader in the telematics market in the CIS and Russia East. To Europe

- In many ways in the telematics market we were the first. They proposed a solution almost ten times cheaper: if we had a monitoring cost for one car of about 200 euros, then our price was 20 euros. Second, we enabled our partners who sell the solution to end users to earn and build a business. Our partners receive 80-90% from profit, and not 10% as was previously accepted in the market. Third, we removed the dependence between the brand and equipment: previously, software and equipment were inseparable, but we invited integrators to install our software on different equipment for different projects. For the industry, this was a breakthrough. We were also the first to make a web solution, no one used these technologies in our business before us. Gurtam has changed the telematics market and continues to influence its development, "says Alexey Shchurko, co-founder of the Gurtam group of companies
.
The market of Russia and the CIS has always been special for us, we started with it and now we are conducting our business quite actively here. According to our estimates, Gurtam occupies about 40% of the transport monitoring market - this is a lot. In 2017, we strengthened our position: the turnover for our main product - Wialon - increased by almost 150%. The number of objects connected to Wialon has also increased. In 2017, we were the first million cars, and in 2017 the year grew by a third - we are approaching 1,400 000 object. By the end of 2018, we plan to reach two million. This will maintain a leading position in the world in the transport telematics market, "said Alexander Kuvshinov, director of the Wialon division.

Today, more than a million objects are connected to the Wialon system. For the transport monitoring segment, this is an impressive figure. The high popularity of Wialon makes Gurtam a welcome investment for many international financial funds. However, the sale of the company is not our goal. We continue to plan to develop the business without attracting external sources of investment - Gurtam's position on the market allows us to do this.
