Softline created "A network class of Belogorie"

In 2013 the federal project of upgrade of regional education systems came to the end. It allowed to lift material and technical resources of schools of the Belgorod region to higher level and gave the chance of use in their activity of modern information and communication technologies. To make high-quality training public, at the initiative of the management of department the project of the information and education portal "Network Class of Belogorie" was developed.

Choosing a Solution

For project implementation the customer announced an open competition in which victory was won by the Softline company having extensive project experience of development and deployment of multifunction portals. Specialists of Softline suggested to implement an information and education resource based on the solution Microsoft SharePoint 2013.

Project Progress

The created platform consists of three functional units:

• Library of materials - the section for accumulation of electronic educational resources of different formats where an opportunity to change the loaded materials in audio \video online \graphic \office editors is provided. Specialists of Softline configured workflow under approval of materials.
• Virtual laboratory is the block for joint work of teachers and pupils. The teacher of a template can create the project, add to it required theoretical and practical materials, invite pupils and set them the tasks and also control terms of their accomplishment and result.
• "The virtual class" allows to create lessons from a set of the approved electronic educational resources placed on the portal. Here teachers can develop a lesson or the whole training course, and pupils - to pass test for digestion of the studied material.

Also on the portal for teachers Personal account in which all teachers of area and teachers from other regions who submitted the corresponding applications are registered is organized. Depending on quality of content placed by them, the number of its downloads and activity on the website participants take certain positions in rating which will allow to reveal the most demanded materials. In the long term using billing and connection to electronic payment systems of the teacher will be able to earn a reward.

Result

According to Inna Sechkina, the head of department of organizational and control and project activity of Department of Education of the Belgorod region, start of the portal is one of the intermediate stages of implementation of the regional project "Creation and the organization of the information and education portal "Network Class of Belogorie".

"The idea consisted in starting a universal resource which would allow teachers to exchange techniques of teaching and the interesting ideas, to create author's modules for the subsequent their use by drawing up the lesson of the principle of the designer and also to conduct distance learning of children who for various reasons cannot attend classes at comprehensive school", – Igor Shapovalov, the head of the department of formation of the Belgorod region noted.

"Now we acquaint teachers with the portal. This academic year more than 2 thousand teachers from 203 schools of area planned use of remote educational technologies "Network Class of Belogorie" in learning process. The website will not replace with itself classical textbooks, but will help to make training more interactive and attractive to modern pupils", - Natalya Kiry, the rector of the Belgorod institute of development of education noted.

Evgeny Chentsov, the head of department of projects of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company, told: "We created new, interesting, and, above all - socially useful product. Participation in the project will allow teachers to use modern formats of teaching, will give the chance to share the pedagogical practices; and will provide to pupils access to the relevant, authentic and well stated information".
