The name of the base system (platform): | Lead WMS |
Developers: | LogistiX |
Last Release Date: | October, 2014 |
Technology: | WMS, Logistics information system |
On October 29, 2014 the LogistiX group developed the domestic software solution allowing to automate work of a warehouse using technologies of augmented reality (engl. Augmented Reality, abbr. AR) and to work on Pick-by-Vision technology.
The solution is integrated with the warehouse management systems LEAD WMS and BIGLit WAS. Thanks to new development as the working tool of the employee of a warehouse augmented rReality glasses can be used that the warehouse under review" allows to work on Pick-by-Vision technology or for the principle ", told in the company.
So, for example, during the course of performance to transaction of set of orders for shipment of goods from a warehouse all information in the automatic mode from the WMS system of management is transferred to employees to the visual interface of points with the detailed description of a task including the required range of goods for set according to the request, their necessary quantity, exact location in a warehouse and another.
Innovation also supports relevant technologies of automatic identification using barcodes and QR codes at the expense of the scanner which is built in a software module. Such opportunity allows to apply AR points instead of the data collection terminals (DCT), noted in LogistiX.
"Till today in Russia in logistics only spoke about similar technologies. Moreover, even representatives of the European companies which visited our stand at an exhibition recognized that the quantity of the working prototypes of similar solutions in their market are not enough. Of course, it is only the first step in development of these technologies in Russia, but it is made. And, certainly, we will continue active work in this direction" — Dmitry Blinov, the technical director of LogistiX group said.
In 2013 LogistiX also presented the BIGLit WAS system — the software solution where possibilities of mobile technologies (tablet computers and smartphones) are in full applied to management of a warehouse and automation of conventional processes (acceptance, replenishment, a complete set and shipment, inventory and the reporting).
