Kazanorgsintez starts "smart repairs" based on SAP

On February 25, 2019 the company SAP Digital Business Services (DBS) reported that Kazanorgsintez PJSC automated the system of maintenance and repair of the equipment. The project is implemented by experts of division SAP of Digital Business Services jointly with specialists of PJSC Kazanorgsintez using solutions SAP Multiresource Scheduling and SAP Work Management. According to the company, system implementation will allow to increase efficiency of planning of actions MRO. It is expected that the quantity of the unplanned and abnormal stops of the equipment leading to losses in income will decrease by 15%, and repair expenses will be cut down for 10%.

The project on automation of a MRO became the next important stage of digital transformation of business. Within the project the large volume of the normative reference information (NRI), extensive methodological base which allowed to standardize business processes according to the international practicians of asset management is prepared. It is important that in the course of implementation also our specialists as assembled NSI, development of methodological documents, and in training of colleagues, it considerably expanded internal examination actively participated.

For February, 2019 a system is implemented at the plant of Polyethylene of high pressure and on non-productive departments of PJSC Kazanorgsintez. NFC tags and QR codes are applied on the equipment in workshops, with their help specialists will be able to receive and enter necessary information on a status and the transactions made with the equipment and also to browse technical documentation. On mobile devices using the SAP solution Work Manager specialists of PJSC Kazanorgsintez it is going to register faults, then to transfer them to a system and to fix in reports.

Based on the SAP solution Multi Resource Scheduling work on planning of actions of a MRO in long-term and short-term perspectives taking into account the need for personnel, tools and ancillary equipment is organized. For February, 2019 experts of PJSC Kazanorgsintez can trace in the system of a task on bypasses and repairs, fault recovery terms, the list of the involved employees, their qualification and load and also to control reliability of the equipment using an automated system of the reporting and the developed dashboards.

The correct use of technologies – a key to increase in enterprise performance. Process automation of maintenance and repairs will help to save up data arrays, detailed analytics on the equipment and further to pass to scenarios of predictive analytics. In other words, data are not just collected and stored, they bring benefit to business that in the future will allow to take the next step to the concept of the intellectual enterprise.
