The largest outsourcers of support of SAP solutions. Ranking of TAdviser of 2014

The analytical center TAdviser completed the work on a ranking "Outsourcing of support of SAP solutions: the largest players in Russia" in which data on the income of the largest service partners of SAP CIS for 2013-2012 from the corresponding services are provided.

According to a new ranking of TAdviser ITSC companies (revenue of 1,694 million rubles) and IBS (more than 875 million rubles) became the largest outsourcing partners of SAP at the end of 2013. Let's remind that at the end of 2012 IBS (revenue more than 782 million rubles), EAE-Consult (more than 745 million rubles) and Energodat (more than 714 million rubles) were three largest partners in outsourcing of SAP CIS.

The greatest dynamics among leaders of a ranking for 2013 was shown by the ITSC – growth in 68%, despite reduction of number of customers to 25 (65 in 2012). The previous year the same company demonstirovat height more than 95%.

The maximum number of customers in 2013 was shown by IBS (44). The same company keeps projects in this direction in the greatest number of the industries.

The maximum growth rates of outsourcing business among partners of SAP in a ranking at the end of 2013 showed Parma Telecom (162%) and Saprun (140%). In the current ranking of 5 players from considered showed height over 50% that still confirms the potential of this segment. However, on the other hand, the sign designated and here difficulties can be considered the fact that a number of the companies before providing the data for a ranking this year refused flatly to open the digits. Usually it means recession of revenue in the considered direction.

72% of revenue the Top of 15 players (more than 4.5 billion rubles) fall to the share of the first five of the companies of a ranking at the end of 2013. The previous year their share made 70.6% (more than 3 billion rubles), and in 2011 – 62.4%. In other words, a tendency to gradual increase in weight of large players (and the first signs of monopolization) in this segment remain.

Alexander Semyonov, the president of Corus Consulting, connects growth of indicators of the company (+91%) with three factors.
"First, the market of the finished SAP projects in 2013 significantly grew, and all these projects need support and on requirements management which arise from users, and on ensuring appropriate level of SLA. Secondly, understanding of efficiency of outsourcing grows in the Russian companies. When choosing the IT supplier which provides services in outsourcing as a mass product, works with a large number of a zakazchikova already created IT infrastructure for this service, such model of cooperation will be profitable to the client. Customers began to consider more carefully costs and therefore are ready to use outsourcing model when they see its obvious efficiency. The third factor is an active development of the insourcing companies and creation of new concepts of interaction between the customer, the insourcing company and the external IT supplier. It is connected with the fact that often basic things are given on outsourcing (for example, development of the system, completion), but in the company there are things connected with creation of target architecture, project management", - the expert comments.
Dmitry Fedorochev, the head of service of sales Parma Telecom explains growth of revenue in the considered direction (+162%) with growth of number of projects and customers and also transition of the majority of projects from an implementation stage to stages of development and maintenance.
"The main market change of outsourcing of SAP of the last years – most of customers already built architecture of the systems of SAP and now systematically it is developed therefore large projects in the market are very rare (for example, from the last it SAP implementations in Sibur and Transneft). The market is stable and grows no more than for 5-10% a year. Requirements of customers pass into accurately structured SLA (Service Level Agreement) with accurate splitting duties between the contractor and the customer. At the moment the IT companies depart from the strategy of rapid growth and pass to point development", - he explains.

The ITSC connects the growth (+68%) with practice expansion - in two years the number of regular specialists in SAP solutions grew almost to 500. At the same time services of support are provided for all implemented functionality, and the company is ready to implement projects independently for the majority of processes.

By estimates of the TAdviser center, in 2013 the market of services of outsourcing of support of SAP solutions in Russia (except for the insourcing companies) exceeded a mark of $200 million. Market size in relation to 2012 changed thus for 17% in a dollar equivalent. Let's remind that in 2012 growth was about 15%.

For the end of 2014 services of support of SAP applications are rendered by more than 100 partners of SAP CIS company, the majority of whom have the status SAP Service Partner or above. By estimates of TAdviser, more than 70% of the market of IT outsourcing of SAP solutions in Russia are the share of federal players and large service providers. Players note that the market is included more and more considerably into a stage of "growing".

"The events in the market, first of all, say that qualification of customers grows, and the prices which they are ready to pay for IT services fall. Plus appears the integrated service including the services in outsourcing integrated with services in use of virtual infrastructure. And behind it the future - the complex package offer on outsourcing where it is difficult to separate infrastructure from the level of business applications and basic software and which will include also services in providing services in DPC", - Alexander Semyonov notes.
Dmitry Ivitsky, the director of the service center IBS, confirms:
"The clear trend which we observe in a segment of a maintenance and support of SAP solutions recently is permanent reduction in cost on this service. It says about degree of a maturity of this product and does outsourcing much more attractive and profitable to clients. To ensure stable development, important success factors for service providers in such market, permanent growth of the customer base, industry diversification and building of long-term partnership with clients are. Certainly, all this is impossible without providing the guaranteed steadily high level of quality of the offered services. As show results of our activity, we manage to correspond to these criteria, offering the market, and first of all the companies of a commercial segment, one of the best service products on a ratio price / quality".
Assessing a situation in the market in general, Bukhanov Konstantin, the CEO of Skyrise company, comments that growth in the direction of support of SAP remains essential and makes about 35%.
"According to us in 2015 growth will continue, but only in that case if the clients buying this service understand the benefit, - the expert explains. - Here I conditionally would select two categories of clients. The first are foreign customers as transfer of the Russian support of SAP on local suppliers is profitable in a type of its cost and speed of changes. Speed of changes is meant as the frequency of legislative initiatives which the companies are forced to perform. It concerns both report forms, and business processes in general. Local suppliers already got used to such changes and can quickly react to problems of any complexity. While foreign support services are not so strongly submerged in the Russian specifics, and cannot quickly react. And at cost, because of decline in the rate of national currency, the Russian integrators are much cheaper, at the same quality level".

It is possible to note that SKYRISE already faced tasks of some clients completely to undertake questions of support of SAP not only in a local Russian segment, but also all Eastern Europe. Konstantin Bukhanov notices that creation of business process of support of SAP in the company very expensive action, but necessary:

We some of the few companies which could build such service. Those who will not be able – will leave the market, and we already see outflow of clients and partners from such companies. As for the second category of customers, Russian, in this sector of clients very powerful competition. The companies always face the choice – to employ the internal command or to give service on outsourcing. At the same time there are, as a rule, no problems with integration into a world SAP landscape of the solution therefore requirements to consultants can be much lower. But contrary to expectations, among the Russian clients, we also see growth of interest in our services, - Konstantin Bukhanov summarizes. – 2015 will sort things out. Time of "a coloring of clouds" came to an end. To tell fairly, I do not consider that there come hard times - on the contrary, already now it is visible the companies which are able to work. All inefficient services should be stopped".
