2019: Creation of an end-to-end monitoring system

On February 20, 2019 the CROC company reported that it created an end-to-end monitoring system for Polyus company.

According to the company, Pole was raised by effective management of ICT infrastructure of geographically distributed platforms. That within "single window" to provide the centralized, operating control behind work of telecommunication equipment and communication channels within "single window" of CROC implemented a monitoring system in the gold mining company. At the expense of a possibility of detection of the reasons of accidents time of idle times of network infrastructure for February, 2019 was reduced by 30%, and costs for its service decreased.

Any, even minute, idle times in work of ICT infrastructure cost very much to us. For us it is very important to find and remove as fast as possible the causes of accidents, to control observance providers SLA regarding quality of communication channels, to see the broad picture of the events on platforms: as where it is set what devices appeared and what, on the contrary, descend from support, a condition of equipment and mn. other CROC helped us to adjust fast, convenient and simple process of control an equipment telecom.

Earlier in Polyus was several instruments of monitoring which are not connected among themselves and focused on the solution of specific objectives, for example, setup of configurations or inventory. The subsystems isolated from each other complicated management of networks, including preparation of complex reports. Moreover, maintenance of subsystems required additional costs. The Polyus company made the decision to create the uniform software product on monitoring and management of network infrastructure.

CROC implemented an end-to-end system of monitoring of Infosim company. Thanks to it equipment state-of-health data online are reflected in objects of Pole in the single interface.

Together with IT specialists of Polyusa CROC integrated an end-to-end system of monitoring of Infosim with the database of the relevant equipment on platforms (CMDB, Configuration Management Database). It allowed the IT service "Polyusa" operating telecom network to solve a broad spectrum of the tasks interconnected among themselves in the single interface. Among them inventory of the equipment online, check of its configuration on compliance to politicians of the company, control of utilization of communication channels, monitoring of operation of the equipment, scanning of network on emergence of devices, rapid response to emergency situations and the notification of responsible persons, backup of configurations of network devices, visualization of network condition.

Work of corporate network of the large geographically distributed companies should be reliable and transparent. For this purpose the IT service should have an opportunity at any moment to trace as the equipment "feels" and whether there is no threat of emergence of an emergency situation. Thanks to consolidation with corporate telephony the monitoring system automatically dials to responsibles of Pole and quickly informs on a problem.

2014: Project completion of the analysis and optimization of traffic

On December 23, 2014 it became known of completion of works by Croc company in the draft of the analysis and optimization of traffic on the platform of solutions of Riverbed Technology company for the benefit of Polyus Gold company[1].

Project Progress

The project is executed on the Riverbed Application Performance Platform platform.

The Croc company implemented Riverbed Steelhead — the system of optimization of traffic for acceleration of operation of applications, reduction of volumes of the transmitted data, both Riverbed SteelCentral — a monitoring system and the analysis of network performance of business systems.

Within the project specialists of the contractor classified all business applications of Polyus Gold, selecting among them services sensitive to delays and created the system of determination of priorities of traffic with control over observance of rules of this system.

Project Results

"Polyus Gold actively uses satellite links as divisions of the company are located in Siberia and in the Far East. Successful project implementation allowed to reduce traffic volume, to accelerate work of business applications. Besides, now we will much quicker contain problems on communication channels and we eliminate them" — Vasily Dolgov, the head of department of information technologies of Polyus Gold company told.
"I want to note professional approach of a command of Polyus Gold. Jointly with specialists Croc is carried out the analysis of the solutions proposed in the market, work on minimization of possible risks. During a pilot project on functionality of the operating network of the customer we had an opportunity to test systems. After the customer estimated possibilities of the offered hardware and software systems, we started system implementation on 11 platforms of the company through the whole country. Our specialists worked literally in mode 24х7 because of a difference of time zones and the need to be permanent in touch with a command of Polyus Gold" — Andrey Vrublevsky, the head of optimization and control of network of Croc company noted.

Modern application are operated in large volumes of data and demand the high levels SLA from network infrastructure.
