Softline transferred a mail service of the Duma of Yugra to Microsoft Exchange 2013

January 14, 2015. The Softline company announced project completion of migration of a mail service of the Duma of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug on the version of Microsoft Exchange 2013.

The Duma of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug performs powers of legislature of the government of the region. One of important instruments of internal and external interaction of the organization is e-mail which was based on Microsoft Exchange 2003 earlier.

Choosing a Solution

For simplification of administration and increase in efficiency of workflows by management on information technologies and communications the decision on migration on the new version of a mail system was made. The partner according to the results of tender selected Softline company which has extensive experience of projects implementation in the field of the joint communications on the basis of solutions of Microsoft.

Project Progress

Migration was carried out in two steps using the temporary Exchange 2010 server. Were carried out by the technical Softline group: audit of the Active Directory and Exchange Server; system design; the migration on the new version of Microsoft Exchange including setup of servers and transfer about 300 mailboxes of users. The regulating documentation was developed for the customer and training of IT specialists is organized. In addition, the project provides warranty maintenance which enter to consultation on work of systems and thin setup of functionality and also the solution of technical issues.

Result

In a project deliverable users had new opportunities for work with e-mail. In particular, joint project development of legal acts was optimized, archiving and cataloguing of a flow of letters is smoothly running, process of electronic planning of meetings is simplified. Due to transition to Microsoft Exchange 2013 the security level of mail services was raised. As a result the customer received a modern system which functionality allowed to improve internal and external interaction of staff of the state organization.
