Content

January 15, 2015. The Softline company announced implementing solution for integrated management of IT infrastructure based on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 in Tatfondbank.

Choosing a Solution

Due to constantly growing amount of IT requests of users, load of technical support specialists of bank significantly increased, creation of the special solution for centralized operation of IT was necessary. Besides, the bank needed to perform large-scale transition to Windows 7.

For the complete solution of these tasks the customer announced competition on system implementation of management of IT infrastructure based on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012. The project affected head office of the company in Kazan and three divisions – in Almetyevsk, Buinsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. The victory in tender was won by the Softline company having the highest statuses, competences of Microsoft, extensive project experience and also which offered the most advantageous conditions of cooperation.

Project Progress

Within the project specialists of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company prepared detailed technical specifications, on six servers unrolled SCCM 2012 (the central website, four servers on each platform and the database server) and configured necessary roles for ensuring system operation. At the same time the solution covered two woods of the Active Directory – the main and services cybersecurity. For management of the PC at the hardware level in Configuration Manager support of Intel vPro technology was implemented.

Result

As a result of works 30 software packages and two images of operating systems (32 and 64 bit) were created; in reporting system in addition to standard settings three customized reports - about changes program and the hardware and also different aggregated data about use of software on each PC and the employee were developed. In project completion specialists of Softline presented the solution to the top management of bank, consulted IT personnel concerning scaling of a system on the remained more than 100 offices of bank and made recommendations about its further development.

The automated system allowed bank quickly and to effectively perform transition to the updated operating system.

Konstantin Haysanov, the director of the department of information technologies of JSC AIKB Tatfondbank, noted: "It is important to any bank to observe the high level of information security and established policies and standards, and Tatfondbank - not an exception. System Center Configuration Manager became an optimal solution at the expense of opportunities of control of use of software products, tracking of version control of software and functionality of reports. In the next year the platform will actively develop: let's carry out integration with Service Desk, we will implement System Center Operations Manager for complex monitoring of IT infrastructure and Network Access Protection technology for secure access to network. In addition, using SCCM we are going to manage mobile devices of users".
