The regional navigation and information platform in the Volgograd region

In 2014 in Volgograd 2 large projects came to the end: equipment of vehicles equipment GLONASS/GPS and development of the regional navigation and information platform.

Until the end of 2014 it was necessary to equip 754 vehicles and also to install the additional hardware: surveillance cameras, devices of a public address system, displays for communication with drivers and sensors of the additional hardware.

Proceeding from requirements of technical specifications of the customer: existence of module 3G, support of the ERA-GLONASS functions, compliance to regulations of the Order of Ministry of Transport No. 285, for installation the FORT-112 3G terminal was selected.

Navigation equipment was installed on the vehicles performing passenger traffic, transportations of dangerous loads, vehicles of housing-and-municipal, road, forest, hunting and fishing farms, departmental transport of executive authorities of the Volgograd region and also on cars of emergency medical service.

RNIS of the Volgograd region unrolled based on FortMonitor software is expected work with 10 thousand objects and allows to control in real time vehicles, to make industry reports for increase in efficiency of use of vehicles, to keep account of fuel consumption, to react quickly to incidents on the line of traffic and to assess a situation on pictures.

The system of information support of public authorities which problem – to facilitate document flow at the expense of the competent organization and document storage was also developed for the project.
