In February, 2015 representatives of ESET told TAdviser that in Russia its ESET MSP service (Managed Service Provider) began to work. Its model assumes that instead of purchase and payment of total cost of products of the company the client rents it at provider together with services in administration, explained in the company.
Service is provided only through partner providers who give a full stroke of implementation and technical support on work of solutions. ESET does not interact with the final customer.
Corporate products ESET NOD32 for protection of workstations and file servers –ESET Endpoint Security, ESET Endpoint Antivirus, ESET NOD32 File Security for Microsoft Windows Server which the client pays on a monthly basis and also software of ESET Remote Administrator which is used for centralized operation by these solutions by provider of service are a part of ESET MSP.
The company told TAdviser that the IT Partner company specializing in IT outsourcing became her first partner in ESET MSP in Russia. Earlier service was tested with two companies, but in the commercial mode they did not start it yet. ESET calculate that in the next few months will get about ten more partners in ESET MSP.
The chief representative of ESET in Russia and the CIS Denis Mateev explained TAdviser that this service still approximately was provided a year ago, however earlier it actively did not move ahead to the canal in Russia: the company tested it and estimated demand. Having seen perspectives of service, ESET began more actively them to be engaged, he says. Besides, the company waited for a release of the new version of ESET Remote Administrator in which remote control of software became simpler, add to the companies.
According to representatives of ESET, as of February, 2015 service in Russia already has first clients. Generally they are provided by absolutely small companies renting software on 5-10 of computers. The companies in a segment of SMB make the main pool of potential users of ESET MSP, add to the companies.
ESET note that in some countries where the market of IT outsourcing is rather mature, on ESET MSP service the great demand is observed. So, for example, in New Zealand about 20% of all corporate sales of ESET fall to its share. In a conversation with Tadviser representatives of the company found it difficult to predict what number of clients or a share of revenue in the general sales pattern of new service can be expected in Russia in the first year since the beginning of its providing, having noted that some forecasts can be made later about half a year.
