E-num

E-num is the system of authorization providing access to WebMoney Keeper and WebMoney services by means of the one-time passwords generated on the mobile device on a special algorithm.

Versions are available to Android, to IOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry, Bada, MeeGo, Belle Nokia, phones with support of Java.

Protection is provided how means of cryptography, and at the architectural level. The secret key for data access is stored not in the computer, and in the mobile device of the participant of WebMoney (phone, the smartphone, the tablet) that allows to use it during the work from different computers and also excludes risk of damage or plunder of a key the Trojan and other malware.

The participant of a system does not have need to remember difficult passwords. Authorization happens according to the scheme "Question-answer":

• On the page of the website (or in the program) providing secure access, the participant enters the email then to it the number question is displayed;

• The participant starts in the phone the mobile client of E-num and enters number question. After input, on the display of phone the number answer is displayed;

• The participant enters number answer in the field of authorization on the website (or in the WM Keeper program) and gets access to the protected sections of the websites or confirms transaction accomplishment (money transfer, adding of the correspondent, etc.).

In the WebMoney system the service of authorization E-num can be used for an input in WM Keeper and also for additional authentication at accomplishment of the most important functions in a system: change of key personal data and security settings, confirmation of the transfer of means, adding of correspondents and other transactions.

Introduction of the E-num system of authorization on the website of shop, an online service, in banking or corporate systems does not require installation of the additional server of authorization as all necessary information is stored in the E-num database. Information exchange happens by means of the interfaces provided by the E-num system through the protected https-connection. Clients of service for passing of authorization in systems connected to E-num use the mobile devices.

Two-factor authentication with watch of Pebble becomes available

On March 4, 2015 the WebMoney company announced a possibility of use of a system of authorization of E-num with the Pebble smartwatch.

After synchronization with the smartphone the entering notifications with a verification code for additional confirmation of transactions emerge on the screen of hours at once that helps to accelerate and simplify identification procedure. In addition to Pebble, the client of E-num can be also used with hours running Android Wear.

Now users can receive the entering notifications with "number - the answer" from devices running Android at once on the smartwatch. If the application is not installed yet, to start work it is necessary to load it on the smartphone and to synchronize with hours.
