Perm Engine Company completed a pilot project of system implementation of protection of an IT environment

On March 12, 2015 announced Softline integrator completion of pilot system deployment of protection of IT infrastructure of Perm Engine Company.

Project Tasks

Corporate resources of the plant are placed on file servers and the Microsoft SharePoint portal, access to them is organized for all workers. Optimization of differentiation of access rights of users to file stores with observance of necessary requirements of information security was required.

As a result IT specialists of PMZ made the decision on pilot implementation of modern control facilities of use and placement of corporate documentation.

As the partner for selection of the solution the Softline company is selected. Specialists of the contractor analyzed IT processes of PMZI suggested to use the Symantec Data Insight system which functionality optimum conforms to requirements of the customer.

Project Progress

During a pilot project at the enterprise the solution Symantec Data Insight is implemented, bench tests are carried out, the hardware and software system is put into trial operation. The customer received the reliable system promoting risk reduction, connected with leak, modification or removal of crucial information.

Project Results

"The proposed solution considerably simplifies search and display of the files containing confidential or personal data. Results of pilot deployment showed that the customer has an opportunity to differentiate the access levels to resources and to receive notifications on incidents of inappropriate use of information. A system allows to provide the necessary security level and labor productivity of employees", - Olga Makarova, the head of information security in the Ural Federal District noted Softline companies.
