Compatibility of FlowVision 3.13 with Red OS

On May 5, 2022, Russian software manufacturers RED SOFTWARE and TESIS announced the compatibility of the operating system RED OS and the integrated solution for interdisciplinary modeling FlowVision 3.13. 2017: FlowVision entered into the Unified Register of Russian Software

The FlowVision software complex for computational aero- and hydrodynamics is included in the Register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases by order of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of Russia dated 23.12.2016 No. 682. FlowVision is based on the numerical solution of three-dimensional stationary and unsteady equations of fluid and gas dynamics, which include the laws of conservation of mass, momentum (Navier-Stokes equations), the equation of state. To calculate complex fluid and gas movements accompanied by additional physical phenomena, such as turbulence, combustion, contact interfaces, porosity of the medium, heat transfer, and so on, additional equations describing these phenomena are included in the mathematical model.

As of April 10, 2015, FlowVision uses a finite-volume approach to approximate the equations of a mathematical model. The Navier-Stokes equations are solved by splitting by physical processes (MAC projection method). FlowVision is based on computational fluid dynamics and computer graphics technologies:

FlowVision is built on the platform of a single integrated environment, in which the preprocessor, solver and post-processor are combined and operate simultaneously.

The function of the preprocessor includes importing simulation region geometry from geometric modeling systems, setting the environment model, arranging initial and boundary conditions, generating or importing a simulation mesh, and setting convergence criteria.

Control is then passed to the Solver, who starts the account process. When the required convergence criterion is reached, the account process can be stopped.

The results of the calculation directly during the invoice are available for the Postprocessor, which processes the data - visualizing the results and saving them to external data formats.

Such a scheme allows you to conduct modeling and at the same time, visualizing the value of any gas-dynamic variable, analyze the calculation results, change the boundary conditions and parameters of the mathematical model. The architecture of the FlowVision software complex is modular, which allows you to add new functionality and make improvements.
