The Department of Digital Development and Communications of the Jewish Autonomous Region is the executive authority of the Jewish Autonomous Region, formed by the regional government, exercising the powers of the region in the development of communications, the information society, the formation of electronic government, the creation and effective use of information and communication technologies, the protection of information from unauthorized access and leakage through technical channels.

2021: Renamed the Department of Digital Development and Communications of the Jewish Autonomous Region
By the Decree of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region of December 29, 2020 No. 557-pp from March 1, 2021, the Committee of Information Technologies and Communications of the Jewish Autonomous Region was renamed the Department of Digital Development and Communications of the Jewish Autonomous Region[1].
