2024: Appointment of Maria Kostyuk as head of the Jewish Autonomous Region

On November 5, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Maria Kostyuk to the post of interim head of the Jewish Autonomous Region (EAO). Previously, she combined the position of deputy director of the Higher School of Public Administration of the Russian Academy of National Economy with work in the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation.
