The Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region is the executive authority of the Jewish Autonomous Region, formed by the Government of the region, implementing state policy in the field of social protection and social services of the population, guardianship and guardianship, social support for orphans and children left without parental care, within its competence and performing executive and administrative functions in this area of ​ ​ activity in the region.

History

2021: Renamed the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region

By the Decree of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region of December 30, 2020 No. 571-pp, the Committee for Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region from March 1, 2021 was renamed the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

2019: Elimination and transfer of powers to the Committee for Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region

By the Decree of the Governor of the Jewish Autonomous Region dated May 24, 2019 No. 130, the Department of Guardianship and Guardianship of the Jewish Autonomous Region was liquidated. The powers of the liquidated department were transferred to the Committee for Social Protection of the Population of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region[1].

2018: Activities of the EAO Guardianship and Guardianship Department

The Department of Guardianship and Guardianship of the Jewish Autonomous Region was the executive authority of the Jewish Autonomous Region, formed by the regional government, exercising the powers of the guardianship and guardianship body in the region, as well as exercising the powers of social support for orphans and children left without parental care within its competence.
